George Joseph Morgan, a beloved resident of Stanhope, New Jersey, passed away on Monday, November 20, 2023, at the age of 92, at St. Clare's Hospital in Dover, New Jersey. Born in Hawley , Pennsylvania, to the late George and Kathryn Morgan, George spent his formative years in Hawley, PA, and Dover, NJ, before establishing his home in Stanhope in 1955. A proud veteran, he served in the Marine Corps during the Korean War, embodying dedication and patriotism throughout his life. George dedicated over 32 years of hard work to the Mennen Company in Morristown, where he contributed significantly before embracing a well-deserved retirement. George was a proud member of the Stanhope American Legion, exemplifying his commitment to service and camaraderie. His passion for sports, particularly his unwavering loyalty to the Cleveland Indians/Guardians Baseball team for an impressive 75 years, showcased his enduring spirit and love for the game. He was predeceased by his wife Carole Morgan in 1992. Left to cherish his memory are his three children: Donna Van Duyne (John), Ken Morgan (Cindy), and Charlie Morgan (Tracy); six grandchildren: Lyndsay Derendal (Pete), Melissa Estwin (Joe), Johnathan Van Duyne (Ashley), Michael Van Duyne, Tiffany Catalano, and Kenny Morgan; along with nine great-grandchildren. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during the visitation on Friday, November 24, 2023, from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at the Morgan Funeral Home, 31 Main St. , Netcong, NJ 07857. Walter Edward Ingman, Jr. , 67, of Stanhope, NJ, passed away on Saturday February 18, 2023 at his home. Born in Jersey City, NJ on August 8, 1955 to the late Walter, Sr. and Lucy (Gargiulo) Ingman, he moved to Stanhope over 30 years ago. Walter earned a Bachelor's Degree from William Paterson University and was retired from his position as an Operations Manager for Waste Management in Kearny after 30+ years of faithful employment. In high school, Walter participated in cross country, track and baseball. He was also a boating enthusiast and enjoyed cycling and traveling. Walter was a technology "guru", a food truck "foodie", a devoted Dallas Cowboys and NY Mets fan and was the recipient of the "ABC- 11 in a Row" bowling award. He was an active volunteer for Pet Adoption League (PAL) and supporter of United War Vets Council. Survivors include his significant other, Kim Cowing, spouse (separated) Diane Ingman, children Melissa Palma (Julio), Walter A. Ingman (Gabriela) and Megan Sciara (Peter), grandchildren Janissa Palma, Jayden Palma and Walter X. Ingman with "Baby" Sciara and "Baby" Ingman on the way, brother Richard E. Ingman (Patricia), nieces and nephews Ryan Ingman, Alison Petraglia (Vincent), Cherise Boutin, Dillan Boutin (Sharmani), grandniece and grandnephew Cecilia and Angelo Petraglia. Walter's Life Celebration will include a memorial visitation on Saturday February 25, 2023 from 1:00PM to 5:00PM at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ. Kenneth G. Foberg, 77, of Stanhope, NJ, passed away on November 28, 2022 in Morristown, NJ. Ken was born in Jersey City, NJ to the late Charles and Hattie (McCreery) Foberg on December 4, 1944. He attended Public School 27 in Jersey City before serving two years in the US Army's transportation unit where he had the opportunity to visit Germany. Ken spent most of his career as a mechanic, retiring in 2013 from NJDOT. He enjoyed cars, racing, fishing, cracking jokes, listening to oldies music, and watching TV classics like Colombo. In recent years, he added baking and online shopping to his list of hobbies. Ken is survived by his wife of 52 years, Barbara (Heller) Foberg of Stanhope, and children Steven (Lori) Seeley, Keith (Gina) Seeley, Melissa Palomba, and Julie Prex (Chris Brehm). He is also survived by siblings Charles Foberg Jr. , Robert (Mickey) Foberg, and Violet Calabrese; grandchildren, Stephanie (Brian), Katie, Matthew, Amanda, Andrew, Adam, Ryan, Norah, Eliza, Rachel, Chris and two great grandchildren, Ethan and Olivia. In addition, Ken is survived by several in-laws nieces, nephews, and great friends. He is preceded in death by his mother, Hattie, father Charles Sr. , mother and father-in-law Geraldine and George Heller, brother-in-law Phil, and sister-in-law Colleen. Patricia "Pat" Ann McNeilly, 85, of Stanhope, NJ passed away peacefully on April 25, 2022 at home surrounded by her family. Pat was born on July 18, 1936 on Governor's Island, Manhattan, NY. A long time resident of the local area she was a 1954 Roxbury High School graduate. She lived in Stanhope for the past 61 years in the same home she raised her family. She held many jobs over the years, but most recently was a bank teller for Newton Trust Bank. Pat loved traveling and always had an atlas by her side. She enjoyed cross country trips as well as trips abroad, but Lancaster, PA, Block Island, RI, Holmes County, Ohio, and Ireland all held a special place in her heart. The infamous ladies road trips she planned each year were a source of many retold tales. Pat was a voracious reader, and could be most often found in her sun room surrounded by the latest stacks of books. She always started her day by reading the obituaries and truly appreciated a unique one. The results of this interest lead to a small but much read collection of obituary books. Pat is survived by her children, Leanne Snook and husband Hal, James "Jim" McNeilly and wife Monique, Brian McNeilly and fiancé, Katharine, Mary-Kathleen Noonan and husband, Mark, 8 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her loving husband in 1989, James McNeilly, her sister, Noreen Herron, and brothers, Richard and Frederick Kenstler. Pat's Life Celebration will include a visitation on Tuesday, May 3, 2022 from 4pm to 8pm at the William J. Leber Funeral Home, 15 Furnace Road (Corner of Rt. 206), Chester, NJ (908) 879-3090. A 12pm funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 4, 2022 at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Stanhope Union Cemetery in Stanhope, NJ.
