Elyria, OH

Michelle Denise Plumb, (nee-Reising), 53, was born on September 29, 1971 in Naples, Italy and lived in Elyria. Unfortunately her journey was cut short on February 9, 2024 following a lengthy battle with cancer. Michelle was known to friends as Shelly and known to her kids, biological and “adopted”, as mom or momma. No matter how far family and friends were they knew they could always count on her to support and coach them through any decision. She was a kind and generous soul who would do anything that she could to help whether it was moving her kids to college, supporting events at Elyria High School, or helping capture life’s milestones. Michelle had a passion for crafts, which brought her to a career as a manger at Michael’s Craft Store. In her spare time at home, she could be found supporting her children, hanging out with her beloved animals, Molly and Lady, and watching Gilmore Girls or FRIENDS. No matter who showed up at her door, she would always welcome them with open arms and plates of food to go around. Those physically left behind include her daughter, Julia Plumb and her partner Jacob Bird and her son Matthew Plumb and his partner Brooke Noscal. Her parents Pat and Richard Reising, her brother and sister-in-law Tony and Dawn Reising, and her two nephews Nathan and Aaron Reising. She is joined spiritually by her grandparents Lois and Gerald Reising and Doris and Frank Fenohr. There will be a Celebration of Life this summer, date and place will be announced at a later time. The family suggests in lieu of flowers donations be made to Friendship Animal Protective League 8303 N. Murray Ridge Rd., Elyria, OH. 44035. To show your love for Michelle please plant or display a blue flower at your home this spring. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Laubenthal- Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Elyria.
