Russell A. “Rusty” Anderson, age 63, of Milton, died peacefully at his home on Feb. 15, 2024. He was born in Janesville on Nov. 2, 1961, the son of Carroll and Marion (Hitchcock) Anderson. Rusty worked in maintenance at IKI, Edgerton for many years. He enjoyed fishing, camping, and partying. He loved the Green Bay Packers, his cars, everything horticulture, but most of all, he loved his family especially his 3 grandchildren!He is survived by his son, James (Kim) Anderson; 3 beloved grandchildren: Alianna, McKenna, and Kyleiah; his mom, Marion (Delton) Arens; 7 siblings: Barb Bowers, Judy (Bill) Bradford, Christine Egerstaffer, Wes Anderson, Michael (Lori) Anderson, Michelle Davis, Debra (Mike) Linder, and Kim Rhoades; his best friend, Dave Horan; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Joan Pauline Hilton, 89, passed away at home on February 18 surrounded by her family. She was born on March 26, 1934, in Cornell, Illinois, the daughter of Menzie and Mary Burkett. She attended Burr Oak School, a one room school serving the rural area and then Milton Union High School.On January 28, 1952, she married Gerald (Jerry) Hilton. They were active campers and square dancers. Joan was a lifetime member of the Milton Historical Society, including serving as president, a member of the First Congregational Church and an active member of the Gathering Place. She loved her Tuesday afternoon bridge games. Joan was an active cardplayer, crafter, puzzler and friend to several very long-term friends. She loved nothing more than an afternoon of “junking”.Joan was a hard and industrious worker. In addition to raising five children, she worked numerous jobs around her husband and children’s busy lives. As an in-home childcare provider, she helped raise countless children, first in Janesville and then back in her hometown, Milton.Joan is survived by her children Donna (Robert) Stewart, Diana (Peter) Daluge, Derek Hilton and Drew Hilton and grandchildren Jason Klemp, Mary Klemp Glass, Jacob Stewart, Molly Stewart Dall’Osto, Blair Mishleau, and Wyatt Hilton. Additionally, Joan is survived by great grandchildren Alexander Klemp, Megan Glass, Trevor Glass, Jaxson Stewart and Arlo Dall’Osto.She is further survived by her brothers James Burkett and Dave (Chris) Burkett, sisters-in-law Jean Burkett and Kerry Burkett and many very special nieces and nephews.If she were listing her family members, she would also include her furry best friends…the “boys”, Tiger and Tony.Joan was preceded in death by her husband Gerald, her daughter Deborah, her parents Menzie and Mary Burkett, her in-laws Les and Hazel Hilton and brothers Donald and Dale, sister-in-law Norma and nephews Lester Burkett and Bradley Burkett.Services will be held on Sunday February 25 at First Congregational Church, Milton, WI Visitation 1:00-3:00 and Funeral Service at 3:00Burial will be at a later date in Milton Lawns Memorial Park. Alan “Al” J. Dransfield, age 70, of Milton, passed away on Friday, February 16, 2024, at home. He was born in Janesville on May 29, 1953, the son of David and Betty (Floriano) Dransfield. After graduation from High School, he received an Associates degree in Business Administration and Marketing. Al married Penny L. Nielsen on August 29, 2015, in Janesville, after being together since 1988. He started working for Rock County in 1986, as a purchasing agent for 29 years until retirement in 2015. He loved motorcycling, NASCAR, music and going to concerts, telling stories and visiting everyone. Al lived his life his way; on his terms; and had no filter. William L. Finster age 93 of Milton passed away peacefully on Monday February 12, 2024 with his loving wife and family by his side. William was born on July 15, 1930 to Walt and Doris (Pederson) Finster in Magnolia, Wisconsin. He graduated from Evansville High School in 1948 and went into the Unites States Army. He married Pamella Hamilton on December 21, 1988 in Janesville Wisconsin. He retired from Owen Vending that same year.Bill enjoyed playing guitar and singing and also played in a couple Country/Bluegrass bands over the years. He was also a lifetime horseman and enjoyed participating in, or just watching Rodeo’s and anything horse. Bill loved to talk and was always ready to tell a joke or one liner. He was happiest when he could make people laugh and smile.William is survived by his loving wife Pam, sons Ron and Patrick (Jihong) grandchildren Sean, Valerie, Sonja and stepson Mike (Debbie) Repta. Dennis Dean Love, age 77, of Milton passed away on January 23, 2024 at his home surrounded by his family.Dennis was born in Edgerton on August 8,1946, the son of David and Marguerite (Peggy Splitter) Love. He graduated from Edgerton High School in 1964. He attended college at UW River Falls studying Biology until he enlisted in the Marine Corps in January of 1967. Dennis married the love of his life Sandra Lynn Murwin on January 21, 1967. They just celebrated their 57th wedding Anniversary with their family and friends.Dennis was inducted in the Marine Corps on January 30, 1967 and proudly served his country until he was honorably discharged as a Sergeant in 1971. He was an Aviation electronics electrician and served with HMH-462 squadron, New River Air Station Jacksonville, NC. Dennis went to Phu-Bai, Vietnam, June 26, 1969. He was with the1st Marine airwing as an electrician on CH-53A helicopters until he returned stateside.Dennis was a Master Electrician for Westphal Electric in Janesville for 36 years until he retired. Dennis enjoyed fishing, hunting, following the Badgers, Green Bay Packers and the Milwaukee Brewers. He enjoyed going to his favorite place, the family cabin up north in Barnes, Wisconsin. Dennis was a longtime active member of St Mary Church of Milton.Dennis is survived by his wife, Sandy Love of Milton, WI, 5 children, son Todd (April) Evert, Bloomington, MN, daughter Dawn (Robert) Ahnen of Beloit, WI, son Dennis (Tina) Love of Edgerton, WI, daughter Anne (Tim) Schumacher of Milton, WI, son Christopher (Renee) Love of Pewaukee, WI,15 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren. Milton – LeRoy E. Rogers, 80, passed away on Sunday, January 14, 2024 at his home in Milton, Wisconsin. He was born on August 17, 1943 in Barnum, Wisconsin to Virgil and Charlotte (Reed) Rogers. He was married to Barbara Rogers, twice. She preceded in death June 28, 2023.Roy was a crane operator, then a well driller, but landed as a small engine repair guy. He owned his own saw repair shop in Washington for over 15 years. Roy and Barbara relocated to Milton where he worked at Farm & Fleet for 15 years before retiring.Roy continued to work out of his yard for over 10 years fixing tractors, lawn mowers, etc.; for neighbors and friends. He was an avid NASCAR fan and he loved watching the races. He enjoyed woodworking and made many wood puzzles for everyone, especially for his grandchildren. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandsons. Gerald is survived by his wife, Joanne; 2 daughters, Theresa (Scott) Huber, Susan (Brad) Kramer; 3 grandchildren, Alison (Jared) Fish, Adam (Abbie Hogue) Huber, Alec Kramer; 2 great grandchildren, Jensen and Harrison Fish; nephew, Lance (Jennifer) Stimpfl. Gerald was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Charles (Judy); niece, Tamara Fowler; nephew, Shane Stimpfl and in laws Elmer and Alice Kohn. Virgil Lee Holmes, 96, of Milton, WI, died peacefully Sunday, December 3, 2023 at Cedar Crest Assisted Living in Janesville, Wisconsin. Virgil was born in Wilmore, KY to Lee & Merle Holmes. He was the oldest of 4 children. Virgil graduated from La Farge High School. He served in the U. S. Navy from 1945-1946. He then went on to attend Hamline University & Garrett Evangelical Seminary. While attending Hamline, Virgil met the love of his life, Lorna. They married in 1951 and had 5 children. Virgil loved spending time at the cottage on Lake Eau Claire with his family & friends. When he was not at the cottage, you could find reading a book, attending a Kiwanis meeting, serving on the church wide Evangelism Board, leading a Bible study, or cheering for the Badgers, Brewers & Packers. During Virgil's 73-year ministry he served at 6 Methodist churches in Wisconsin: Argyle, Neillsville, Spooner, Reedsburg, Milton & Wautoma. In 1988 he received the Harry Denman Award for Evangelism from the Wisconsin Conference. He retired to Milton in 1992. Virgil is survived by his wife Lorna, sister Ardis, children Steve (Ann), Penny (Mike), Linda, Roger (Lisa), Gary (Lori), 10 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren. A "Celebration of Life" service at Milton United Methodist Church is planned for 2:00 pm on Sunday, December 10, 2023. Visitation with the family will be at 1:00 pm until time of services at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for memorials to be sent to Milton United Methodist Church or Agrace HospiceCare. Keith Kildow

Keith Douglas Kildow age 90, died of age-related illness on September 9th, 2023 at Mercy Hospital. Keith was born in Milton, WI on 04/26/33 to Leslie and Ruth Driver Kildow. He was the middle child of seven children. As a child, Keith and some other local boys built a ski jump on Clear Lake from scrap lumber found around town. Keith graduated from Milton Union High School in 1951. He enlisted in the Navy in June of 1952, serving as a Sea Bee in Guam on housing projects which still stand today. Keith was sent to Naval Diesel School in California, as diesels were just coming into use. Keith then spent one year in Adak, Alaska, then finished his enlistment in the Philippines. Keith married Margaret Dorn on October 21, 1953 at St. Joseph's Lutheran Church in Edgerton, WI. The marriage lasted for 64 years until the passing of Margaret in 2018. Upon honorable discharge, Keith went to work for Frank Brothers for two years, then worked for JATCO as a mechanic for four years. And then Keith worked for Prudential Insurance Company for twenty-five years. After retirement from Prudential, Keith ran his own landscaping service for fifteen years. After that, Keith spent much of his time helping his daughter on her small farm, continuing to enjoy tractor work. He also enjoyed his coffee time at Natalie's Parkview Cafe and Milton Family Restaurant. Later, breakfasts at Cafe 26 with his daughter became a daily occurrence. Throughout the years, Keith enjoyed outdoor sports and activities. He was one of the founding members of the Oak Ridge Ski Club in Janesville, continuing his love of skiing from his days as a boy. He enjoyed deer hunting and fishing. His favorite fishing buddy was his daughter. He was also a Green Bay Packers fan. Keith was a proud member of the Milton Fire Department from 1970 to 1985, reaching the rank of Lieutenant. Keith is survived by two children, son Brad Kildow, Spooner, WI, and daughter Candice Kildow, Milton. Three grandsons, Richard, Kendall, and Garrick and three great grandchildren. His grandson Kendall, his wife Cassie, and their son Carson have been a joy to him. He was predeceased by his parents, wife Margaret, three sisters Dorothy Shackelford, Shirley Christensen, and Marilyn Schmeling. Three brothers, Donald, Charles, and Thomas Kildow. He was also predeceased by an infant grandson. Funeral services will be 11:00 am on Thursday September 14, 2023, at Albrecht Funeral Homes and Cremation Services, Milton.
