Obituary George David Ponsler, 81, of South Bend, Indiana passed away on June 17, 2022, at his home. George was born to the late Delbert D. Ponsler and Marion (Oksen) Ponsler in Anderson, Indiana on December 22, 1940. George enjoyed a long and successful career in Telecommunications for 40 years working for Ameritech and AT&T before retiring in 2012. He was preceded in death by his beautiful loving wife of 26 years, Cindy Ponsler. They were married on June 9, 1995, and together they built a loving home for their family. Their time together included sculpting and designing their beautiful gardens, watching American Idol, and sharing time sitting in their yard and sunroom. Cindy was the love of George's life, and he has gone home to be with her. George will forever be remembered for his silliness always singing, laughing, and entertaining every room he entered. Left to cherish his loving memory are his daughters; Holly (Nick) Thalls of South Bend, IN, Ashley Katlun of South Bend, IN, and Alexis Ponsler of South Bend, IN. His son, Casey (Nicole) Katlun of South Bend, IN and two grandchildren, Isabella and Aiden Katlun of South Bend. Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 noon, Friday, June 24, 2022, at Palmer Funeral homes - Welsheimer North Chapel. Friends may visit with family from 10:00 a. m. until the time of service.
