George McGuire, a 91 year old Trenton, MO resident, passed away at 12:15 p m , Wednesday, October 4, 2023 at Sunnyview Nursing Home in Trenton Graveside Memorial services are scheduled for 10:00 a m , Wednesday, October 11, 2023 at Rural Dale Cemetery east of Trenton Memorial donations are suggested to his home church, the10th Street Baptist Church and may be left with or mailed to Slater Neal Funeral Home in Trenton George McGuire was born September 6, 1932 in Grundy County to John Harvey and Harriet Eleanor (Haynor) McGuire He graduated from Trenton High School and then served in the United States Army at the end of WWII On January 14, 1955 he was united in marriage to Beatrice Fay Allen at the Trenton Nazarene Church George retired from Grundy Electric after 30 years of service There he started on the brush cleaning crew and then moved to being a lineman to management He enjoyed all carpentry work and remodeled many homes for himself and other friends Surviving relatives include his wife Bea of the home, daughters Brenda Brown of Spickard, and Vickie (Dean) Shoots of Princeton, a sister Sarah Elder of Trenton Grandchildren Andy Brown, Andrea (Danny) Shobe, Rebecca (Justin) Brown, Paul Caldwell, and Brook St Onge (Wade) Great grandchildren Cora, Cole, Kendrik, and Eastin He was preceded in death by his parents and eight siblings, Sam, Homer, and John McGuire, Ruth Veach, Nellie Hayes, Addie Broyles, Judy Billingsley, and Francis McGuire To to the family or in memory of George McGuire, please

Russell Dale Roberts, a 91 year old resident of Trenton, MO passed away December 7th, 2023 at Hedrick Medical Center in Chillicothe. Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, December 9th at 2:00 p. m. at the First Christian Church. A family visitation will be held from 1:00 until service time. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations to First Christian Church and left or mailed to Slater Neal Funeral Home of Trenton. Russell Dale Roberts was born on April 1st 1932 in Silvis, IL to Kenneth and Opal Griffin Roberts. He attended and graduated from Trenton High School. Russell was a lifelong Grundy County farmer. He was a talented carpenter and enjoyed woodworking. He built many pieces that are treasured by his family. He enjoyed trail riding with family and friends and attended horse shows and rodeos. He was a member of the First Christian Church. He was married to Beverly Renfro Whitaker in January of 1972 and she survives of the home. Russell is survived by his wife Beverly of the home, son Kenny Roberts (Andrea), daughter Brenda Smith, daughter in law Martha Roberts, stepson David Whitaker (Kari), all of Trenton, Missouri. He is also survived by sisters Joetha Harris and Karen Brandstetter (Karl). He is also survived by grandchildren; Tosha Roberts (Boo), Christopher Smith, Jeffry Smith (Jesse), Tia Griffin, Tara Hoffman (Eric), Tenna Mack (Thomas), Avery Bailey (Jason), Ashten McCarter (Kail), and Lexi Whitaker, along with 13 great grandchildren. Mrs. Margaret Gale (Maggie) Bush, 79, a resident of Trenton, Missouri died at 1:00 A. M. , Tuesday, December 5, 2023 at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P. M. , Friday, December 8, 2023 at Resthaven Mortuary, Trenton, Missouri. Her body will be cremated after the service. Family visitation will be held Friday from 1:00 P. M. to 2:00 P. M. at the mortuary. Memorials to the Greens Hills Animal Shelter and may be left with the mortuary. Mrs. Bush was born February 7, 1944 at Greensboro, North Carolina the daughter of Sam and Margaret Freeman Bolling. She was one of two children. After graduating from college with an English Major, she joined the Marine Corps. She completed boot camp in Guanaco, VA earning top recruit. She was assigned as a reporter to the Marines. Maggie was given a choice of Vietnam, Japan, or Okinawa and she choose, Okinawa. She operated Maggie's Mess for several years and also was co-owner of Trenton Cinema. On June 3, 1967 she was married to James D. Bush at Okinawa. Her survivors include her husband Jim of the home; one daughter Tammy Maryanne Martucci, Trenton, Missouri; three brothers David Bolling and wife Terry, Oak Ridge, North Carolina, Jim Bolling and wife Janice, Summerfield, North Carolina, Rob Bolling and wife Amber, Summerfied, North Carolina; one sister-in-law Linda Langely, Rock Hills, South Carolina. Deleta Nora (Hamilton) Johnson, 96 of Princeton, MO passed away Saturday, December 2, 2023 at Wright Memorial Hospital of Trenton, MO. She is to be cremated under the direction of Slater Neal Funeral Home in Trenton. No services are scheduled. Inurnment will be in the Hamilton Cemetery. Memorial donations are suggested to the Hamilton Cemetery and may be left with or mailed to the funeral home. Deleta was born August 30, 1927 to Joe and Inez (Bain) Hamilton. She was one of ten children; J. R. , Tom, Rosemary, Deleta, Nadine, Colleen, Barney, Scobe, Joann and Bob. She graduated from Princeton in 1946. Deleta married Clarence "CB" Johnson January 28, 1949. She was raised and lived in the Modena Community until 2008, moving to Princeton, MO. Deleta was a true country girl. She did farm chores with her dad and brothers, household chores with her mom and sisters. This work ethic served her well raising her family. Her passions were cooking, gardening, canning, embroidery, quilting, RFDTV country music shows, Circle a word, KTTN and KC Royals. Cindy Renee Roy, Trenton, MO. July 24, 1970, to November 26, 2023 Cindy Roy went home to be with her Lord and Savior Sunday November 26, 2023, after a self-less battle with ovarian cancer. She passed away at home under hospice care surrounded by love and comfort. Cindy came into life July 24, 1970, in Chillicothe, MO to parents Gary and Iona (Pete) White and joined sister Robin. She grew up on the farm in the Sampsel area attending school in Chillicothe. Cindy enjoyed rural life as a child and teenager. Some of her fondest family memories growing up were cutting firewood on Sunday afternoons, going to her granny's for lunch, mushroom hunting, deer hunting with her dad, and time spent at the county fair showing her market steers. She was active in 4-H, a varsity football cheerleader for four years and a homecoming queen candidate her senior year of high school. She attended college at Central Missouri State University in Warrensburg obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and Advertising. On August 3, 1991, Cindy was married to Scott Roy. They resided in Warrensburg for six months while Cindy completed college. Upon graduation, they moved to Prescott, AZ, where Scott was residing and attending college. While in Arizona, Cindy worked for Strum Ruger, Prescott Livestock Auction and was a grocery manager for Albertson's for 6 years. They had two daughters during that time, Breilly and Sadie, who were the sunshine of her life. In the spring of 1998, they returned home to Trenton so their daughters could grow up near family. From 1999 to 2019 Cindy was employed by Grand River Mutual as a customer service representative and then as the Marketing Representative. In the fall of 2019, she joined Farmers Bank of Northern, MO as their Marketing Director where she was employed until the spring of 2023 before she retired due to illness. Cindy was a member of Wesley United Methodist church in Trenton. Her God-given ministry was quilting, baking, and decorating which she did for family, friends and often just to brighten someone's day. Cindy's life fully revolved around her family and friends. She was constantly engaged in her daughters' lives, fully supporting them in all endeavors as unique individuals. She never missed any of their school or extracurricular activities. Cindy enjoyed being outdoors. Some of her favorite outdoor interests included canoeing, fishing, mushroom hunting for the "big one" with her friend Sarah, boating on the lake with the Dolan family, flower gardening, and walking with friends. Sunday afternoons were spent rooting on her Kansas City Chiefs with her family and the Dolans. One of her favorite family activities were the years spent while Breilly and Sadie were showing cattle. She enjoyed spending time at the barn washing and grooming the calves and helping break them to lead. She was an ever faithful "show mom" making sure lunch and snacks were packed, jeans were manure free, pulling a comb when needed to help get a calf show-ready, to helping calve on cold winter nights keeping warm towels ready for newborn calves and hot chocolate ready for frozen girls. Above all she cherished the relationship and fellowship with her "show family". Cindy is survived by her husband Scott of 32 years, daughter Breilly Roy of Fayette, MO, daughter Sadie Stimpson, son-in-law Ryan and granddaughter Hattie Sue of Farmersville, two daughtersof-the-heart Lauren and Morgan Dolan, MO, parents Gary and Pete White of Mooresville, MO, sister Robin Quinn and brother-in-law Raymond of Avalon, MO, mother-in-law Babe Roy of Spickard, numerous nieces and nephews, brother-in-laws, and sister-in-laws. She is preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents and father-in-law Jim Roy, and son-of-the-heart Drew Dolan. In lieu of flowers, Cindy wished to have memorial contributions made in her honor to be split equally between the Trenton FFA Chapter and the Central Methodist University Marine Biology program. Bonnie Ruth Moore,a 97-year-old resident of Trenton, MO, graduated from this life and met her Lord and Savior face to face on Fri. , Nov. 10, 2023, surrounded by her family. Bonnie was born January 7, 1926 at home to Clay Ray and Bernice Brennenstuhl Gass in the Grundy Center Community. On October 7, 1951, Bonnie was united in marriage to Benjamin Clay Moore, Jr. in Jamesport, MO. She was a member of the Grundy Center Church, Dorcas Richardson Chapter of D. A. R. , Order of Eastern Star, and an RSVP volunteer serving with the Food Pantry and delivering meals for several years. She was an active church member through the years as a Sunday school teacher, VBS teacher, and MYF Leader, and a secretary several years in Eastern Star. She was a talented artist and did china painting, painting lampshades and other items people needed. Bonnie helped her husband in the shop (Moore's Woodwork and Construction) in various capacities--even driving to Kansas City or St. Joseph for items needed. She was a special friend who drove neighbors to the grocery store and helped wherever she could. During the girls' growing-up years, Bonnie was a devoted homemaker, taxi driver, and seamstress--making almost all the girls' clothes. She was a THS graduate and helped with her alumni reunions for several years. Bonnie was the BEST NANA to all the grandkids, great-grandkids, and great-great-grandkids. She loved to sing songs especially with the grandkids. Her unconditional love and support will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her. Bonnie is survived by four daughters: Charlotte Hoskins, Benna (Tom) Trump, and Connie (Richard) Key all of Trenton, and Jerry (Dan) Curtiss of Brandon, Florida; 10 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 12 great-great-grandchildren, and one sister, Leona Oneal. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother Von Gass, and stillborn daughter, Claydean. As per her wishes, there will be no funeral.
