Audrey Ann (Peterson) Hasenjager, 93, of the Town of Sevastopol, was called Home to be with the Lord, Thursday, November 23, 2023, after residing at Sturgeon Bay Health Services in Sturgeon Bay with family at her side. She was born August 21, 1930, in Sturgeon Bay, daughter of the late Clarence Oliver and Ruth Emma (Zirbel) Peterson. Audrey graduated from Sevastopol High School with the Class of 1948. On February 26, 1949, Audrey married Allan Edward Hasenjager at St. John Ev. Lutheran Church in Valmy, where she remained a lifelong member. They celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary before he preceded her in death on May 15, 2019. Together, Allan and Audrey owned dairy farms in Egg Harbor and following the home fire there bought their farm in the Town of Sevastopol. They were a team and Audrey assisted Allan in his sales company, representing Clay Equipment Corp. , MFS Grain Systems, Jamesway Barn Equipment and Rochester Silos. Audrey will be missed by her son and daughter, Daniel (Janice) Hasenjager of Green Bay and Jane (Mike) Stouder of Republic, MO; six grandchildren, Amanda Hasenjager and Eric (Amber) Hasenjager, Heather (Jeremy) Johnson, John Stouder, Sheryl (Justin) Portis, and Jason (Beth) Stouder; three step-grandchildren, Tricia Spice, and Ryan (Angelina) Kruse and Mike (Leewaune) Stouder, Jr. ; eight great-grandchildren, Conner and Rylee Bownds, Olivia and Amaya Portis, Allan Stauder, Emalyne and Wyatt Duchan, and Hayes Hasenjager; six step-great-grandchildren, Craig and Isabella Kruse, Logan and Lily Johnson, and James and Ashley Stouder; sister, LaVerne Vandermause of Kiel; two sisters-in-law, Donna Peterson of the Town of Sevastopol, and Donna Peterson of Sturgeon Bay; siblings-in-law, June Kruetter, Don Hasenjager, Elaine (Don) Neinas, Glenn (Penny Olson) Hasenjager, Leon (Rosemary) Hasenjager, Linda (Kerry) Moore, and Clyde (Linda) Hasenjager; many nieces and nephews; other relatives; and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; infant son, James Robert Hasenjager; sisters, Gladys (Harvey) Jonas, Shirley (Jerry) Coleman; brothers, Robert and Donald Peterson; siblings-in-law, Clyde Kruetter, Jr. , Anita Hasenjager, Barbara Hasenjager, Robert Peterson, Maynard Vandermause, Donald Peterson, Gladys (Harvey) Jonas, Audrey (Elton) Neinas, and Alden VanDyke; and other relatives. The funeral service for Audrey will be held at 11:00 a. m. on Tuesday November 28, 2023, at St. John Ev. Lutheran Church in Valmy with Pastor Peter Martin officiating. Burial will follow the luncheon at church at Zion Ev. Lutheran Cemetery in West Jacksonport. Visitation for family and friends will be held at the church, Tuesday morning, from 9:00 a. m. until 10:45 a. m. Memorials may be given in Audrey's name for St. John Ev. Lutheran Church. We also want to thank the staff of Unity Hospice and Anna's, now Bayview Senior Care, for the love and excellent care given to Audrey for the past several years. And to the staff of Sturgeon Bay Health Services for seeing to Audrey's comfort and care in the final chapter of her life with us.
