George Hurst Obituary

age 75, of Craigville, died March 31, 2023 at the V. A. Hospital in Fort Wayne. Mr. Hurst was born in Portland, Indiana on January 10, 1948 to the late Leland F. "Jack" Hurst and Florence "Susie" (Farris) Hurst. He graduated from Geneva High School in 1966 and International Junior College in 1973. He honorably served his country from 1967-1973 during the Vietnam War in the United States Air Force where he earned the rank of Sergeant. He received a Certificate of Completion of Apprentice Electrician in 1978. George was a member of the American Legion and V. F. W. and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 305. Son, Heath Hurst of Fort Wayne, Indiana. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Kathy Ann Thrall and Jackie Sprunger. will be held Friday, April 28, 2023 from 5:00 - 8:00 PM at the American Legion, 111 West Washington Street, Bluffton, Indiana.
