George Follett Obituary

DICKINSON - George J. Follett age 94 passed away Monday (April 3, 2023) at the UHMC Alice Center. George was a dedicated husband, and father who loved to read his bible, learn about the civil war and trains. George was born January 4, 1929, in Moira, the son of the late Vilas and Janet (Martin) Follett. He was a graduate of Brushton High School. On July 8, 1961, George united into marriage with Arlie Martin at the First Christian Church, Brushton. He enlisted into the United States Army in 1951 and was honorably discharged in 1953. For 31 years he was employed at ALCOA in Massena in the Flex Service Department. Retiring in 1990. Treasured memories will be forever in the hearts of his wife Arlie and his children Lois (John) Camiolo of Austin Texas, Lori (Stefano) Catucci of Cohoes, NY, and a special nephew Vilas (Paula) Follett of Brushton. His siblings Jane (William) French of Monticello, Florida and John (Jane) Follett of Indiana also survive him. Besides his parents he is predeceased by his siblings Margaret Clark, Lemuel Follett, Marie Bowen, Gerald Follett, Nadine McKane, Pauline Follett during her infancy, Paul Follett and Patricia Gale. A graveside service will be held Saturday (June 3, 2023) 11 a. m. at the West Bangor Cemetery. Memorial contributions in George's honor may be made to the Brandon Wesleyan Church or to the Bangor Vol. Fire and EMS. Arrangements are with the Flint Funeral Home, Moira.
