George Falso Obituary

Sunbury - George J. Falso, 71 of Walnut Street passed away on Saturday, April 15, 2023 at the Mansion Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was born March 9, 1952 in Syracuse, NY a son of the late George E. and Ruth (Sidelnick) Falso. On August 9, 2003 he married Mary T. Norris who survives. He was a 1970 graduate of North Syracuse High School. George was a longtime employee of Acme Markets, retiring after 26 years of service as a manager. He was a member of the East End Fire Company, Sunbury. As an avid outdoorsman, George greatly enjoyed fishing, especially for salmon. Every Friday night his family gathered for their poker game. In addition to his wife, George is survived by, two sons and one daughter-in-law, Brian A. and Jennifer L. Falso of Northumberland, Jason M. Falso of Sunbury, step-son, Benjamin J. Heim and wife Angela of Sunbury, grandchildren, Skyler Falso, Kaycee Rambo, Ryan Metzger, step-grandchildren, Abby and Alex Heim, great-grandchildren, Cameron Ross and Olivia Rambo. He was preceded in death by his sister, Cindy Falso. A visitation will be held on Thursday, April 27, 2023 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at the Blank Funeral Home, 395 State Street, Sunbury where funeral services will follow at 7:00pm with Father Fred Wangwe officiating.
