George Brown Obituary

Brown, George Bruce WatsonFormerly of Fenelon Falls, peacefully entered into rest at Victoria Manor Nursing Home in Lindsay, in this 87th year. Beloved husband of the late Shirley Brown (2010, nee Wylie) and loving father of Janet (Andy) Zylstra of Lindsay, David (Sharron) Brown of Harrowsmith and sadly pre-deceased by his son Glenn Brown (2016). George was the proud "Poppie" to his grandchildren Angela (Kyle) Graham, Matthew (Taryn) Zylstra, Tyler (Teresa Korzeniowski) Zylstra, Megan (Justin) O'Gorman, Graham (Ashley Toews) Brown. "Poppie" was adored by his great grandchildren Elsie, Tessa, Rawley, Graham,Gabriella, Nathan and Everett Zylstra, Oakley and Carter O'Gorman, Violet Brown and soon to arrive sibling. George is predeceased by his siblings Annie (Ronald) McMenemy, James Brown and Douglas Brown and is survived by his sisters-in-laws Janette Brown and Gail Brown. George's family will celebrate his life privately, with an interment at Fenelon Falls Cemetery. He will be laid to rest with his wife Shirley, in their columbarium niche. George loved all animals. In his memory, donations to the Humane Society of Kawartha Lakes would be appreciated.
