George Boyle Obituary

Cobleskill (Schoharie County): George C. Boyle 80, of France Lane, Cobleskill, NY passed away Wednesday, April 19th at St. Peter's Hospital after a decline in health. Mr. Boyle was born September 11, 1942 in Queens, NY, a son of Charles and Evelyn (Bidwell) Boyle. He graduated from Oceanside High School and later, embarked on a career in law enforcement with the NYPD as a Police Officer. A motor vehicle accident forced an early retirement and his family moved to Cobleskill for a quieter life. He married Janet E. (Speth) Boyle on November 25, 1961. She predeceased him on October 6, 2019. George enjoyed saying rosary, attending Liturgy, and tending to his garden. Survivors include: his son, George C. Boyle, Jr. (Nancy) of Farmingville, NY, his daughter, Bridget Espersen of Oneonta, NY, 4 grandchildren; Ryne, Kaitlyn, Alyssa, and Brandon, 2 great-grandchildren; Riley and Jack, his brother, Michael Boyle of New Jersey and his sister Dale Clemente of North Carolina. Besides his wife, he was predeceased by his siblings; Charles, Jeffrey, Gregory, and Martin. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, April 22nd at 10AM from St. Vincent de Paul's R. C. Church, 138 Washington Ave. , Cobleskill followed by entombment at St. Agnes Cemetery Mausoleum in Menands, NY. The Langan Funeral Home of Schoharie and the Robert A. Guffin Funeral Home of Cobleskill are assisting the Boyle family
