George ''Cliff'' Clifford Allen, 86, of Marianna, Arkansas passed away after a noble battle with pancreatic cancer on September 9, 2023. He was born December 18, 1936, in Marianna, Arkansas to Garland Sr. ''Buster'' and Virginia Louise Allen. Cliff graduated from TA Futrall High School in 1954 and attended Ouachita Baptist University. Throughout most of his life, Cliff farmed and eventually formed Allen Agri in 1982. After he retired, he logged many miles to Fayetteville, Arkansas to dote on his 3 grandkids. Nobody could make crabby patties like Pops! He could be found tending his famous tomatoes or building furniture with his good buddy, Bill Shepherd. Proceeds from their sales supported mission projects. Cliff was a devout member of the First Christian Church. Some might even say it was the true love of his life. He served as an elder, deacon, Sunday school teacher and chairman of the board for over 40 years. Along with his dear friend, Brother Max Goins, he enjoyed several mission trips abroad. Dewitt and Marvel were a few churches he was always willing to fill in when preachers were needed. Cliff was a true and faithful servant of the Lord. His commitment to the First Christian Church and its members never faltered. Cliff is survived by his wife Alice Allen, daughter, Blakely (Scott) Stokenbury, 3 grandchildren, Sarah Kate, Caroline and Will, sister, Carolyn Allen Tyner. He is preceded in death by his son, William Bart Allen, his parents and brothers, Garland Allen, Jr. , Ronald Allen Sr. and Thomas Allen.
