Geneva Skelton Obituary

Geneva Skelton, 72, of Flora, formerly of Lincoln, passed away on Sunday, April 23, 2023, at SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon, IL. Geneva was born June 1, 1950, in Champaign, IL, the daughter of Dwight and Neva (Lilly) Pickle. She married Woodrow Franklin Sr. on September 20, 1974. After their divorce, she married Samuel Skelton on May 22, 1992. He preceded her in death on November 15, 1999. Geneva is survived by her children, Woody (Amanda) Franklin Jr. , and Debbie Beck; step-children, Christian Skelton, and Elizabeth Skelton-Weaver; grandchildren, Jacob Franklin, Devin Beck, and Aubrey Beck; and her siblings, Pauline (Rick) Bowen, and May (Bob) Wathan. She was preceded in death by her parents and several siblings. A graveside service for Geneva will be held at 11:00AM on Friday, April 28, 2023, at Lucas Chapel Cemetery in Lincoln, IL. Memorial donations may be made in Geneva's name to St. Louis Children's Hospital. Arrangements have been entrusted to Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln, IL.
