Geneva Malone Obituary

Fort Ashby, WV-Geneva A. Malone, of Fort Ashby, WV, went to be with the Lord on May 8, 2023. Born June 21, 1937 in Rowlesburg, WV, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Flora (Shahan) Lee. She was also preceded in death by her husband, E. Kile Malone; two daughters, Patty R. Hess and Paulette M. Eversole; and, her special dog Miss Prissy. Geneva retired from the Cumberland Macaroni Factory, where she worked for 25 years. Survivors include her son, Jeffrey Malone and wife Susan, Short Gap; daughter Brenda Gaughan and husband Stephen, Fort Ashby; nieces Debbie Miller and Robin Kithcart Krickler; grandchildren, Danyale Little (Scott), Shanda Underwood (Matt), Jennifer Snurr (Gordon), Kevin Malone, Jadelyn Eversole (Brent). Jazzy Eversole (Andy), Stormy Eversole (Ty); great grandchildren, Courtney Wigal (Frank), Cody Hogan (Mackenzie), Kyle'lee Hogan, Wyatt Valentine, Madison Shoemaker, and Kirsten Underwood; great great grandchildren, Alessandra Leonti, Sophie Hogan, Addison Hogan, Jaxston Little, and Emmett Snurr. Friends will be received at the Upchurch Funeral Home Inc. , Fort Ashby, on Thursday from 5-8 PM. The funeral service will be held on Friday at noon in the funeral home, with Isaac Lewis, officiating. Interment will be in Fort Ashby Cemetery.
