Gene Black Obituary

Gene Black, 47, of Corning, AR. , passed away Thursday, April 20, 2023 at Flo and Phil Hospice House in Jonesboro, AR. Mr. Black was born on February 29, 1976 in Poplar Bluff, MO. He was a member of St. Joseph The Worker Catholic Church. Gene loved spending time with his family and friends. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, making jerky and engaging in charity work. He majored in Chemistry at Arkansas State University and graduated with two degrees. Survivors include his siblings Mark O. Black (Christie), Julie F. Black, Jennifer S. Black (Ibrahim), Janice L. Patton and Michael J. Black (Haley); several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents John G. and Frances S. (Zepecki) Black. Rosary service will be held Saturday, May 6, 2023 at 11:30 AM at St. Joseph The Worker Catholic Church in Corning. Visitation will will follow the Rosary service at 12:00 PM with the funeral mass to follow at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow the services in the Corning Cemetery. www. ermertfuneralhome. com
