Gayle L. (Gossett) Murphy, 68, of Flushing departed this life on Friday September 8, 2023 in Wheeling, WV. Gayle was born on April 3, 1955 in Mt. Gilead, OH to the late Donald A. and Evelyn (Conley) Gossett. Gayle was preceded in death by her loving parents Evelyn Gossett who passed away in 1972 and Donald Gossett in 2012. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband Robert "Bob" Murphy, two brothers Dennis Gossett of Bethesda, OH and Donald (Diane) Gossett of Avella, PA, her six children who she was deeply devoted to: Robert Michael (Erin) Murphy II of Navarre, OH, Jennifer Murphy of St. Clairsville OH, Brian (Audrey) Murphy of Flushing OH, Lesa (Jeremy) Schmidt of St. Clairsville OH, Amanda (Keith) Tracy of Barnesville, OH, and Emily (Kurt) Schlechty of Greenville, OH. Grandchildren, Christopher (Lakisha) Toohey, Isaac (Rebecca) Toohey, Zachary Toohey, Samantha Murphy, Lucas and Amber Murphy, Wyatt, Kinzley, Paige and Brynn Murphy, Anna Schmidt, Quinn and Lennex Tracy, and Elaina Schlechty. Great Grandchildren, Logan and Bentley Toohey, and Cassidy and Jasper Toohey. Gayle was a 1973 graduate of Union Local High School, where she met her high school sweetheart and eventual husband, Bob. They were married on February 15, 1975 and enjoyed 48 years of wedded bliss. Bob and Gayle were a true testament to the marriage vows they took that day. They spent their years together raising their children on their dairy farm near Flushing. She had an adventurous spirit and loved going new places and traveling different routes. Gayle loved her family and they were always her top priority. When you needed her, she was there. When she was not working or running kids around, she enjoyed working in her flower beds at home, creating new landscapes, watching OSU football games, and spending evenings outside listening to music with Bob. But most of all, she loved being with her family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Visitation will be on Tuesday, September 12, 2023 from 4-8pm at the Wilson Funeral Home, Bethesda Chapel, 322 North Main Street, Bethesda, Ohio 43719. The funeral service will on Wednesday, September 13, 2023 at 11am at the funeral home.

Lee Allen Price, 56, passed away Thursday, November 30, 2023 at his home near Alledonia, Ohio. He was born March 1, 1967 in Barberton, Ohio, a son of the late Lloyd Holcomb and Sandra Morris. Lee was a proud US Army Veteran and a former employee of KFC. He was an avid hunter, but his greatest joy came from simply spending time with his children and grandsons. Lee was an active member of American Legion Post #768, Beallsville where he took care of many jobs and projects within and around the Legion over the years. He will be remembered by all who knew him for his service to Post #768, his devotion to his Legion family, and his passion for helping others. In addition to his parents, Lee was preceded in death by a brother, Shannon Price. Left to cherish his memory are three daughters, Erica Price, Casandra Price, and Brenda Denbow; siblings, Robert Price, Michael Holcomb, Chad Holcomb, David Morris, and Amanda Lincoln; the "lights of his life," three grandsons, Andrew, Creed, and Myles; also his extended family at American Legion Post #768. Visitation will be held Tuesday, December 5 at Wilson Funeral Home, Harper Chapel, Beallsville, from 11am until a time of a remembrance at 3pm when family and friends may honor Lee's memory by sharing their memories. Lynn Ann Arritt, 63, of Saint Clairsville, passed away Wednesday, November 15, 2023, at Ruby Memorial Hospital Morgantown, WV. She was born October 14, 1960, daughter of the late John and Juanita (Duda) Jaskierny of Dillonvale, Ohio. Lynn was a member of the Martins Ferry Yacht Club; where she served as treasurer for over 14 years, Martins Ferry PNA Club, and the Wheeling Sternwheel Festival committee, also serving as treasurer during her involvement. Lynn earned several degrees, licenses, and careers throughout her lifetime. After graduating from Mt de Chantal in 1979, she was a Dental Hygienist (West Liberty University), Nursing Home Administrator (Ohio State University), Tax Consultant and Real Estate Agent (Belmont Technical College). Lynn lived for her family and friends. She enjoyed travel, numerous hobbies, and interests. She and her husband, along with good friends, took several boat trips on the Ohio River, from Pittsburgh to Louisville, KY. She enjoyed trips to Las Vegas and across Montana with her sister Leslie (Chris). And with her sister Loran (Greg), she enjoyed trips to the Caribbean. As a worldwide traveler, she visited many countries in Europe, the Great of Wall of China, safaris in South Africa and much more. Lynn had many interests. She was an avid reader. She provided warmth and love by crocheting scarves and blankets. Lynn was an outstanding cook. Through her food, she brought joy and delight to all those around. Lynn was a devoted sports fan. She loved to participate in her fantasy football league, the Red Devil Divas; renamed by a wonderful group of friends, as Lynn's Legacy, in her honor. Furthermore, you could always count on her cheering for The Ohio State Buckeyes and Pittsburgh Steelers. In additional to her parents, she is preceded in death by her late husband Tino Agostini, Uncle Francis "Jiggs" Duda, Aunt Mary Davis, and mother-in-law Donna Arritt. Lynn is survived by her loving husband Jim Arritt, daughter Audra Agostini of Columbus, OH, stepson Josh Arritt of Wheeling, stepdaughter Deborah (Chris) Jewell of Bellaire, sisters Leslie Jaskierny (Chris Sideris) of Scottsdale, AZ, Loran (Greg) Streit of Bluffton, SC, nephew Andrew Pellegrino of Memphis, TN, granddaughter Jordan Arritt, grandson Bradford Jewell, and many dear & cherished friends; along with her beloved dog, Baxter. David "Dave" Nippert, 75, of Alledonia, Ohio passed away Wednesday, November 8, 2023 in the home that he loved surrounded by family and close friends. He was born October 20, 1948 in Bellaire, Ohio, a son of Lola Mae Wingrove VanDyne and the late Donald Frank Nippert. A US Army Veteran, Dave was a man of many talents and interests which was evident by the various jobs he held over the years. He was a retired employee of #5 Mine near Powhatan. Dave will be remembered for his kind heart, his sense of humor, his desire to help others, be they close friends or someone he had just met, and his loyalty to his family and friends. For many years as a volunteer for the Beallsville Community's "Feeding America Project," Dave's quiet, giving spirit was most evident in the fact that he was one of the project's most devoted volunteers. He always came early, rain or shine, to help unload the food truck as well as help with the food distribution. He always stayed to the very end of the day ready to take on any job that needed done. In addition to his father, Don Nippert, Dave was preceded in death by a daughter, Denise Lynn; a sister, Linda Louden; and his step-father, Bob VanDyne. Left to cherish his memory in addition to his mother, Lola VanDyne of New Castle, are four sisters, LaDonna (Ed) Carleton of Beallsville, Barbara Brunner of Jerusalem, Rita (Jean) Donahue of Birmingham, Alabama, and Bobbie Ward, of New Castle; a brother, Donnie Nippert of Alledonia; his girlfriend, Donna Otto of Beallsville; many friends, including Rocky Richards and Jay Mitchell; also several nieces and nephews. In keeping with Dave's wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Private inurnment will take place at a time of the family's choosing. Krinke, Robert H. Robert Krinke, 90, went to meet his Savior and Lord on Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2023, at his home in Mt. Pleasant, Ohio. Mr. Krinke was born on August 11, 1933, to John and Mable Krinke of Mt. Pleasant. Robert served in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict. It was during that time that he met his wife, Gladys of Pennsylvania. Robert and Gladys celebrated 67 years of marriage this year. He is survived by his wife Gladys and their five children Amy O'Brien (Kevin), Linda Dalton (Marvin), Paula Campbell (Tom), Laurie Rayhill (Barry), and David Krinke (Sue). He also has 15 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. He leaves behind his younger sister Kay Zimmerman of Arizona and many nieces and nephews. Robert spent his life serving God through telling the good news of Jesus Christ and preaching the Word, serving as an elder at the Mt. Pleasant Presbyterian Church, leading many Bible studies, a member of the Gideons International of the Ohio Valley region, active in the Full Gospel Business Fellowship of St. Clairsville, and pastoring a church in West Virginia. He and Gladys raised their five children to love and serve the Lord Jesus Christ. He was a gifted carpenter building houses and building furniture in his shop. He loved his dogs throughout his life. They held a special place in his heart. He and Gladys spent their later years together fishing, camping, gardening and visiting with their children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Preceded in death were his parents John and Mabel Krinke, his two brothers Jack and Joseph, two sisters Dorothy and Joanne and his half-sister Jessie. Nancy Jean (Lucas) Porter, 77, of Bethesda, Ohio passed away peacefully at her home in St. Clairsville on October 29, 2023. She was born on July 31, 1946 to Janet (Mead) Powell and the late Robert Powell. "Babe" was the perfect homemaker. Her favorite activities were cooking, baking, and caring for her family. Everything was homemade, including the favorites; lasagna, macaroni salad and chocolate fudge. Nancy was a very neat and orderly woman. She enjoyed listening to the Bee Gees and other favorites while cleaning her home and doing her beloved yardwork. She also enjoyed watching Westerns and reading the Bible. She loved yellow roses and spending time with her french bulldog, Pug. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her first husband, John Lucas.
