Gary Don Lee, 77, was born in Creston, Iowa on October 21, 1944. He was greeted in Heaven by countless family members and favorite pets on June19, 2022. His deceased parents, Raymond Lee and Mandy Lee, loved him and supported him through school, sports, and just being a friendly man. He married Patricia Rose McMullen on January 27th 1967, in Council Bluffs Iowa. It was a cold night, 19 degrees below zero. And after the ceremony, they did a hastily move to Reno, Nevada, where they each attended the University of Nevada. Gary received a PH. D. degree in chemistry, as well as taught classes, did research, and learned to play golf. As a chemist, Gary worked in New York for Texico, Inc. , Staley Mfg. Company in Decatur, Illinois, and landed in Austin where he was a part owner of Premium Polymers. While living for 30 years at Berry Creek in Georgetown, Gary played as much golf as possible, and especially enjoyed his "Liars's Dice" friends. Preceding Gary in death, are his parents, his brothers Kennith and Dennis and his wife Ruth. Gary has grieved the lost of may uncles, the favorite being Rollin Daly. Gary is survived by Patty, his wife of 55 years. His sons, Bart of Georgetown, and Tony of Las Vegas, Nevada. His sister-in-law Kathleen Smith and brother-in -law John Smith. Gary has many nieces and nephews, who loved him and spent many hours with him, more recently on the telephone. A Memorial Service will be held Noon on Thursday, June 23, 2022 at St. John's United Methodist Church, 311 E. University in Georgetown, 78628. In lieu of flowers, a memorial gift may be made to St. John's or the charity of your choice.
