Gary J. George, Midland, Michigan, Formerly of Saginaw. Beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother passed away Friday, April 21, 2023 at My Michigan Medical Center Midland. Age 75 years. Son of the late Harold and Dorothy (Dey) George, Gary was born December 26, 1947 in Saginaw, Michigan. He served proudly in the U. S. Army during the Vietnam Era. He married Marilyn Elizabeth Bluem, his loving wife of 52 years, on April 23, 1971. She survives him. Gary was a skilled tradesman at General Motors retiring January 1, 1999. He was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Midland. Gary enjoyed barber shop singing, bowling, watching Tiger's Baseball and especially his family. Surviving besides his wife Marilyn are three daughters and one son, Julie George, Mt. Pleasant; Jenelle George, Midland; Jeanette and Justin Musser, Orlando, Florida; Joseph and Melissa George, Fife Lake, Michigan; seven grandchildren, Ryan, Steven, Mark, Charlotte, Avery, Haleigh, and Graham; three brothers and four sisters, Lerman and Connie Jean George, Coriean and Butch Burgoyne , Ann and Bill Dinninger, Connie and Mike Lazaro, Steven and Cathy George, Richard and Melinda George, Rita and Steven Franks; several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Gary was preceded in death by two brothers, Harold "Duke" George Jr. and an identical twin brother, Michael George. A special thanks to the staff at My Michigan Medical Center Midland. Funeral Service will take place 1:00 p. m. Thursday, April 27, 2023 at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd. , Saginaw, Michigan. Deacon Steven George will officiate. Burial will take place in St. Andrew Cemetery with Military Services conducted by the U. S. Army and V. F. W. Post #1859. Friends may visit at the funeral home where the family will be present on Thursday from 11:00 a. m. until time of Service.
