"Margaret Ann Dresser, 85, of Jackson, passed away at home on Tuesday, February 20, 2024. Margaret’s family and friends will gather from 10:00AM-11:00AM, on Friday, March 1, 2024, at South Jackson Community Church. Her funeral service will follow at 11:00AM at the same location. Margaret was born on May 6, 1938, in Lansing, Michigan, to Francis and Yolande (Smith) Hamilton. She graduated from Jackson High School in 1956. Margaret married Robert Dresser, on March 24, 1979, in Jackson, Michigan, they were happily married for 44 years before her passing. She used to teach ceramics, and even co-owned a ceramics shop with a close friend of hers, called Bar-Mar Ceramics. Margaret loved her family and friends and was a very sociable person. She enjoyed playing bingo, country music, camping and bowling. Margaret and her family went on many day trips together and enjoyed travelling. Margaret will be missed by her husband Robert; her children, Randy Stetler, Mark Lewis Stetler, Shelly Jim) Meneely, Kelly (Michael) Baumstark, Beth (Joe) Foster, and Jim (Tabitha) Dresser; sister Barbara Hamilton; sister-in-law Judy Hamilton; and brother-in-law, Owen (Donna) Stetler; many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Francis and Yolande, her brother Robert Hamilton, her sister-in-law, Joan Hommerding, and her brother-in-law, Patrick Dresser. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to family for future designation."

Of Jackson, passed away at his home on Monday, February 20, 2024 at the age of 68. He is survived by his son, Christopher (Rachel) Hosler; grandchildren, Trinaty Hosler, Braylon Hosler, Kaitlyn Hosler, Dominick DeLattre, and Damian DeLattre; siblings, Diane Lachota, Debra Baum, Christina (Anthony) Barriere, Peter (Norene) Killingbeck, Catherine (Richard) Hill, Penny (Jerry) Rahl, Paul (Jessica) Killingbeck; the mother of his son, Darlene Wilkerson; as well as nieces, nephews, loving family members, and friends. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brother, Charles W. Hosler Jr., and beloved service dog, Trixy. David was born in Flint, Michigan on March 9, 1955 to Charles and Mary Hosler. He graduated from Arenac Eastern High School in Twining, Michigan. He loved playing the guitar, singing, and collecting guitars. In his last 10 years, he became passionate about his Faith and studying the Bible. He proudly served in the Navy for 8 1/2 years and was an avid outdoorsman. After he was medically discharged from the Navy, he received a degree in Restaurant Management from JCC and became a chef. At one point, he won a Bassmaster Fishing Competition in South Carolina. When he wasn't enjoying fishing or hunting trips, he found peace in watching wildlife and spending time with family, friends, and especially his grandchildren. He touched the hearts and lives of many and will be greatly missed. According to his wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be a celebration of his life held at Encounter Church on Saturday March 9, 2024 at 1 PM.

He was born on July 5, 1969, in Jackson, Michigan to Robert Sr and Connie Sumkowski.Steven is survived by his wife, Georgia, and their beloved daughter, Skyler. He also leaves behind his devoted mother, Connie, his brother, Robert Sumkowski Jr, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews who will forever cherish his memory.In the embrace of eternity, Steven joins his father, Robert Sr, and both sets of grandparents who preceded him in death.Music was a passion of Steven's and in his earlier years, he found solace and joy in strumming his guitar. His love for the outdoors was evident in his fondness for working in the yard, often seen cruising on his John Deere lawn mower, surrounded by the beauty of nature he so adored.However, above all else, Steven's heart belonged to his daughter, Skyler. His love for her knew no bounds, and he cherished every moment spent with her, guiding her through life with unwavering devotion and care.Steven found immense joy in exploring the world with his family, particularly enjoying vacations to the beach in Mexico and the Dominican Republic.With a tender heart, Steven held a special place for animals, especially the dogs he had in his life.In accordance with his wishes, Steven's earthly remains have been cremated, and at this time, no memorials are planned. As we mourn his passing, let us carry forward the love, laughter, and cherished memories that Steven gifted us during his time on this earth. Though he may have departed from our sight, his spirit will forever live on in our hearts.

She leaves behind a legacy of love in her grandchildren Aubriella, Cameron, and Malachi Lynch. Erica is also mourned by her mother, Pamela Brenner, her devoted partner, Jason Smith, and her brothers, Matthew Brenner (Stacy Rodriguez), Mark (Laura) Brenner, and Scott (Vicki) Brenner; special niece, Amanda Matthews; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.She was preceded in death by her father, Daniel Brenner, and her brother, Kevin.Described as someone with a unique sense of humor, Erica had a remarkable ability to brighten any room with her laughter and wit. Her dedication to hard work was matched only by her infectious joy and warmth, making her a cherished presence in the lives of those around her.Despite her petite stature, Erica's personality was larger than life, and her kindness knew no bounds.Music was one of Erica's greatest passions as well as spending time with her friends and family.In accordance with her wishes, Erica's earthly remains have been cremated. ADRIAN –Walter E. Lanway, age 82, of Manitou Beach passed away at Jackson Henry Ford Hospital on February 15, 2024. He was born to Joseph and Edith (Derbyshire) Lanway on September 23, 1941.After graduating high school Walter went on to Bible College. He married the love of his life Mary on August 31, 1962, in Dewitt, Michigan, she survives. Walter was a corrections officer for the State of Michigan. When he wasn’t working, he loved to fix lawn mowers. His real passion though was to preach and teach people.Left to honor Walter are his sons, Philip (Lisa) Lanway, Andrew (Audra) Lanway, Timothy Lanway; daughter Karen (Scott) Biggs; grandchildren Lance, Holly, Eliza, Levi, Andrea, Stephan, Seth, Allison; great-grandchildren, Easton, Conner, Charlie; brother Joseph ‘Henry” Lanway; sister Deborah Vincent.Preceding him in death are his parents, two brothers and a sister.Memorial service for Walter will be Saturday, March 2, 2024, at Gateway Community Church in Onsted at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Craig McMichael officiating. She was born to John and LuAnne Porter in Jackson, Michigan, on September 4, 1959.She is survived by her husband, Timothy Nappier; children, Jarrod Bishop, Jordan Bishop (Jennifer Grant), and Justin Bishop; step-sons, Zachery (Michelle) Lazzell and Robert Nappier (Kylie Mole); 11 grandchildren; siblings, Jamie (Lolita) Porter and Melodie (Mike) Butler; and several nieces and nephews.She is preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Scott Strickrodt.Joy found great pleasure in pontoon rides, motorcycle adventures, and camping trips with her beloved husband. Family time was sacred to Joy, and she delighted in every opportunity to spend time with her loved ones, especially over shared meals at their favorite restaurants. Joy's love for dancing and playing euchre brought laughter and camaraderie to those around her.Honoring her wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will take place in the spring with a time, date, and location still to be determined.

Glenda Ann Adams, age 92 passed away Wednesday, February 14, 2024 at Henry Ford Hospital in Jackson, MI. She was born January 12, 1932 to her late parents Charles and Merle Jamison Crews. Glenda graduated from Barlow High School class of 1950. Glenda was very proud of returning to college to start her career as an x-ray tech at the University of Michigan Hospital. She loved her view from her porch on KY Lake and enjoyed fishing when she could. Granny was very proud of the little ones and felt the love they showed her. She is survived by one son, Sammy Adams and his wife Kathy of Jackson, MI; seven grandchildren, Scott Nau (Doris), Chuck Nau, Jason Adams, Justin Adams (Rachael), Rebecca Hutchinson (Eric), Abbie Adams (Paul Bluebaugh) and Jacob Adams (Stephanie); 12 great grandchildren, Rachel, Elijah, Cecilia, Brandon (Breanna), Gunner, Onika, Charlie, Oliver, Maddox, Finn, Estelle and Grace; two great great grandchildren, Ryleigh and Baylee.
