Gary Lee Davis, 75, of Oswego passed away peacefully Friday, October 6th under the care of his loving family and the wonderful staff of St. Luke Health Services. Mr. Davis was born in Fulton, NY to Bert and Claira Davis. He attended Fulton Schools and served in the United States Marine Corps. After his honorable discharge, Mr. Davis relocated to the Oswego area settling in Scriba. Mr. Davis was a member of IUOE Local for more than 50 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and puttering in his garage. He traveled to the Southern Tier, Colorado and locally to hunt and fish. In 2014 he was selected for a Maine moose hunt. He was successful in that hunt, fulfilling a life-long dream. Gary was a private man with a heart & soul for kindness, compassion & humor. Never being anything but humble. He loved his friends and family, and in his way made sure they always knew so. He enjoyed family and friend gatherings or visits, but his most enjoyable were the impromptu "let's go" trips made with his wife, soul mate & best friend, Joan. There wasn't a person that met Gary that wasn't somehow left with a positive impression & that generally included a smile. Mr. Davis is predeceased by his parents, Bert & Claira; his brothers, Jerald, Omar, Dick & Doug and grandchildren, Gary Lee & Natalee Joan Hewitt. Mr. Davis is survived by his wife, Joan (Ketcham); his children; Michael of Oswego; Mark (Brenda) of Hannibal, Kane (Alice) of Oklahoma, Christina (Art) Smith of Hannibal, Jennifer (Brian) Hewitt of Lowville & Colleen Corradino of Oswego; 13 grandchildren & 13 great-grandchildren; each having their own way of being his pride & joy. He is also survived by nieces, nephews & friends. Per his wishes there will be no services & burial will be private. Arrangements are being handled by Foster Funeral Home of Fulton, NY. In lieu of flowers or cards the family asks that you sing a song, make someone smile, go for a walk or find a soft moss patch and enjoy the world around you. Mr. Davis will truly be missed by many.

Sophie Hundycz Galini, 97, of Fulton, NY and Daytona Beach Shores, FL died Friday, November 10, 2023. She was born in Oswego, NY to the late Theodore and Katryna (Suchania) Hundycz. In 1947, Sophie married Joseph "Joe" Galini. Together, Sophie and Joe loved dancing with friends, traveling, laughing together, and hosting legendary Easter gatherings. They could be found at Hotel Syracuse every New Years Eve dancing the night away. Sophie had a long and interesting career and retired as a Supreme Court Reporter for the State of New York. Although devoted to her profession, one of her her true passions was fashion and she was a woman of style and grace. She loved to shop with her family and friends at every opportunity. She also enjoyed collecting antiques, especially Flow Blue china, an interest which she lovingly passed along to the family. Her friend said recently that Sophie was a great woman and an incredibly special person who cultivated many friends with her smile and warmth. She will forever be remembered as a elegant and genteel woman and missed dearly by all. Ms. Galini is survived by a daughter, Marcia Quigley and son-in-law Jim and several nieces and nephews. Ms. Galini was predeceased by her husband Joseph and her sisters, Ann Rogers, Sister Mary Seraphica; and brothers, Peter and George Hundycz. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the wonderful staff at Heritage Waterside for their excellent care and compassion over the last three years. A service will be held Monday, November 27th at 11:30 AM at Lohman's Funeral Home, Port Orange, Florida. Burial will be private. Joseph J. Dickquist, age 85 of Fulton, NY passed away on November 15, 2023, at home with his wife by his side. Joseph is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Jeanne Dickquist; his children, John (Laura) Dickquist, Tammy Crary, Debbie (Duane) Crumpton, Jody (Mark) Budosh, Mike (Anita) Coant, Lorrie Coant, Vickie (Dave Viscome) Fisher, Tammy (Joe) Corbett and John Coant; Stepchildren, Jeri Lynn (Larry) Lockwood, Timothy LaMond and Leonard Battles; sister, Marcia Loosen; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Catherine Dickquist, sister, Gloria Dickquist, and children, Terry Coant and Kathy Coant. Joseph retired from OCWA after over 30 years of dedicated service. He was a dedicated member of Holy Trinity in Fulton. Joe enjoyed spending time with his family and looked forward to the annual Adult Family Dinner. He devoted his life to his family and friends. In his younger years he raced at Oswego Speedway, he enjoyed the outdoors and hunting with his son John, the camp in Oswego and Osceola, he was a life member of the Fulton Elks and Fulton Polish Home and enjoyed a 40-year career playing softball. Joe was an inspiration to many who knew him. He was a loving and dedicated husband, father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend who will be dearly missed by all who loved and knew him. In lieu of flowers, donations in Joseph's name may be made to the American Cancer Society or St. Jude Children Research. Calling hours will be held on Monday, November 20, 2023, from 4pm to 6:30pm at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay Street, Fulton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, November 21st at 9:30am at Holy Trinity Church, Fulton. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Fulton, NY. Sallamae (Sally) Wilcox, lovingly called Mimi, of Simpsonville, SC, formerly of Fulton, NY passed away on October 30, 2023 at Fairview Park Assisted Living in Simpsonville at the age of 90. She was born in Carthage, NY to Harry and Mable Ketchum. She resided in Fulton until 1985 when she moved to Simpsonville with her husband Carl, then to Hattiesburg, MS until 2011 when she returned to Simpsonville. While in Fulton she worked for many years at Herron's Fabric Center, was active in the hospital auxiliary and belonged to Shirts and Skirts Square Dancing with her husband. She was actively involved in All Saints Church in Fulton, Trinity Church in Hattiesburg and Holy Cross in Simpsonville. Sally was predeceased by her husband Carl in 2002, her son David in 1973 and her brother Robert in 2017. She will be forever missed by her daughters Lynne(Bill) Leach of Fulton and Sherrie(Donnie) Major of Simpsonville, as well as her grandchildren Kate(Jake) Bidwell of Cicero, NY, McKenzie(Dustin) Rogers and McKel Major of Simpsonville, and her great grandchildren Julianna and Benjamin Bidwell of Cicero. She is also survived by her sister Darragh Hodges of Charlotte, NC and her niece and nephews. Many thanks to the staff at Fairview Park for their loving care of our Sassy Miss Sally. We would also like to thank Pruitt Hospice for their help in easing her on her journey. Memorial services will be held at a later date at Holy Cross in Simpsonville and at All Saints in Fulton. Edith P. Cordone, 90, of Fulton, NY, passed away on Tuesday, October 24, 2023, at St. Luke's nursing home. Born on February 7, 1933, in Little Falls, NY, she was a daughter to the late George and Jane (Sterzinar) LaQue. During her youth, Edith was a member of the 4H club and high school chorus. She graduated from Little Falls High School in 1951 and married the love of her life, John D. "Jack" Cordone on June 7, 1952. She received an associate degree in food service management from Cobleskill Technological College in 1953 and worked as the manager for the Fulton City School Lunch Program until her retirement in 1998. Edith was a faithful communicant, choir member and usher at the All Saints Episcopal Church in Fulton. She was a past member of the Fulton BPOE 830 and the Order of the Eastern Star. She was an avid donor to the SPCA and loved her dogs, Katie, Chloe, and Duchess. Edith enjoyed bowling, playing piano, cooking large holiday dinners for her family and her annual vacations to New Smyrna and St. Augustine, FL. But most of all, she loved her family with all her heart and faith. She was predeceased by her husband, Jack in 1985 and her daughter, Pamela Jean in 2021. Surviving are her five children, Don (Sherri) Cordone, Paula (Steven) Distin, David Cordone, John (Susan) Cordone, and Joel (Shannon) Cordone; her brother, Paul (Jan) LaQue; 14 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt appreciation to the nursing staff of the first floor "B" wing at St. Luke's nursing home, Oswego, NY for their devoted care of our loving mother during her stay. Calling hours will be from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm on Saturday, October 28th at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay Street, Fulton with a service to follow. Burial will be in Mt.
