Bonita Gail Reeves age 60 of Pine Knot, Kentucky passed from this life on Friday, October 6, 2023 at the Baptist Health of Corbin. She was born February 12, 1963 in Montgomery County, Ohio to Harold Reeves and Lois (Stephens) Reeves. Gail is preceded in death by her father, Harold; a sister, Anita Mae Reeves; grandparents, Noah & Artie Mae (Lay) Stephens and Cager Lee & Nora (Paul) Reeves. Surviving family include her mother, Lois Ann Reeves; a son, Kyle Vanover; a brother, Dale Reeves and wife, Carla; a nephew, Alex; nieces, Angelica Kaylee, Tarah, and Natasha; 2 great nephews, 4 great nieces, and numerous family and friends that loved Gail dearly. Gail was an office manager. She always enjoyed family get togethers and family game night. Gail also enjoyed photos and scrap booking, she was the most creative and artistic person. She enjoyed going on vacations to the beach, camping, and concerts with friends. Gail was such a caring, jolly person, always making people laugh and would light up a room. She was generous with her family and friends. Gail loved deeply and with passion, her presence always made life better. She was a shining light of hope and would give everything she had for her son, her mother, her family, and her friends. The world just became a sadder place without her. Funeral service will be held on Monday, October 9, 2023 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home with Bro. Boyd Rowe officiating. Burial to follow in the East Pine Knot Memorial Gardens, The family will receive friends for visitation on Monday after 12:00 noon until service time at the funeral home. Pine Knot Funeral Home is assisting the family with funeral home.

Patricia Elaine Neeley, age 61, of Corbin, KY, passed away on Sunday, November 26, 2023, at Norton Hospital in Louisville, KY. Born in Oneida, KY, she was a daughter to the late Jerry Neeley and Mildred Lee Smith. Patricia lived with great compassion, kindness, and selfless love for others. She never met a stranger or turned away from someone in need. Patricia loved caring for children most of all and her family extended far beyond her own home. She was a second mother, or grandmother to many and she cherished that role tremendously. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Tonya Reynolds, and a sister, Angie Phillips. She is survived by three children, John Lucas Neeley (Elizabeth), Rikki Danielle Neeley, and Robert Zachary Chad Young (Meagan), grandchildren, Allison Neeley, Terri Richardson, Grace Young, Olivia Young, Scott Allen, Felisha Harris (Jon), Billie Renea Reynolds, Everly Estep, and Emory Estep, partner, Robert Trabish, sisters, Tina Green, Rita Abner, Wyndy Mullanix (Jamie), and Theresa Tirey (Billy), brothers, James Smith, Troy Smith (Cindy), and Tony Smith (Julie), and by many special nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 12-2pm on Friday, December 1, 2023, at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home, where her memorial service will follow at 2pm with Rev. Allen Bonnell officiating. She leaves behind her granddaughter, April Wetherill \u0026amp; husband Chad of Corbin, KY; two great grandchildren, Abby Eubanks \u0026amp; husband Dalton, Caleb Wetherill, all of Corbin, KY; two siblings, Betty Howard \u0026amp; husband Darrell of East Bernstadt, KY, Billie Parker \u0026amp; husband Bill of Lavonia, MI. The family would like to recognize with special thanks to the staff of The Christian Health Center in Corbin. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Durham; her parents, William Taylor (W. T. ) \u0026amp; Lillie Campbell Cornelius; two children, Kathy Durham Brewer \u0026amp; husband Jimmy, Steve Durham; and by eight siblings, Dolan Cornelius, Burnie Cornelius, Hubert Cornelius, Ray Cornelius, Donald Cornelius, Floyd Cornelius, Nina Harris \u0026amp; Violet Cornelius. Velma was a homemaker and a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and great grandmother. She was strong in her Christian faith and cared for everyone. She was salt of the earth - she served the Lord and put everyone before herself. Velma was of a full sound mind until her passing and made an impression on everyone she met. She was always positive and no one ever heard her say a cross word about anyone. Funeral services for Velma Durham will be held on Tuesday, October 10, 2023 at 1:00 p. m. in the chapel of House-Rawlings Funeral Home with Rev. Bobby Joe Eaton officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery in East Bernstadt, Kentucky. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 10, 2023 beginning at 11:00 a. m. until the funeral hour, also at the funeral home.
