Frederick M Adolf, age 89, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, great-great grandfather and brother, was taken to with his Savior on Sept 3, 2023. Fred was born to Eric and Frances (Weubbenhorst) Adolf on August 31, 1934 in American Falls, Idaho. At the age of 9 his family moved to Seaside, Oregon where Fred completed his education, graduating from Seaside High School in 1952. On June 20, 1954 he joined the United States Air Force. While in the Air Force he met and married the love of his life, Betty, who was his partner and lover for 67 years. Fred retired from the Air Force as a Major and settled in Spanaway, WA. After retiring he went to work for the Boeing Company as a the operational planner for the AWACS program and eventually became the Boeing flight dispatcher for all air operations in the Puget Sound area. He retired from Boeing after 19 years of service. Fred was an active member of Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church. He put his faith in his active service to the Lord. Both Fred and Betty loved hiking, especially in the Mount Rainier and Olympics areas and in all the National Parks in Utah. After Fred's retirement from Boeing, he and Betty enjoyed many trips to Utah, Arizona and Hawaii. Fred was blest with a daughter, 3 sons, 9 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. He preceded in death by his beloved wife Betty of 67 years, his daughter Barbara Fink of Hamilton Montana, son Fredrick Mark Adolf and his wife Sherry of Pheonix Arizona, son Christopher Eric Adolf and his wife Dana of Everett Washington and son David Michael Adolf and his wife Shelly of Graham Washington, his sister Francine Kay Atchison and her husband Robert of Redmond Oregon, his grandchildren Kerry, Kelsey, Logan, Shaelyn, Rachel, Matthew, Katelyn, Cherie and Candice, great grandchildren Isaiah, Mi'Rie, Ny'Syre, Felonie, Savage, Elliot, Noah, Ellias and Emeillia and great great grandchild Olivia. Fred leaves behind his loving family to cherish his memories. A rosary will be held at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church at 10:30am on Saturday, Sept 23, 2023. Mass of the Christian Burial will follow at 11:00am. A reception is planned at the parish hall following the funeral Mass. In remembrance, Fred requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in his name to the Neighborhood Clinic, 1323 So. Yakima Ave, Tacoma Wa 98405.

Robert (Bob) William Skogen passed away on December 1, 2023, at his home in Buckley, WA at the age of 93. He was born May 9, 1930, to Otto and Bessie Skogen in Sisseton, South Dakota. Bob was the sixth child born to Bessie and moved to Richmond, California where he graduated from Richmond High School in 1949 and went directly to work for the Standard Oil Company. Bob enlisted in the United States Army in 1950 and served during the Korean War as part of the 96th AAA Gun Battalion at Fort Richardson, Alaska. Bob was honorably discharged from the United States Army in 1952 and returned to work for the Standard Oil Company of California, where he worked up until his retirement as a Wharf Master in 1980. During his time in California, he had two daughters, Dana and Robin. In 1968, Bob married Kay Borell of Buckley, WA, with whom he celebrated 55 years of marriage. In 1979, they welcomed the birth of their son, Eric. In 1980, they moved to Buckley, WA and purchased a home that is still in the family today. Bob found great joy in the outdoors in his new hometown while gardening, berry picking and fishing. Bob was never one to sit still too long, and in 1985 accepted a position working at Enumclaw Safeway where he would meet many new co-workers and regular customers who are still considered friends to this day. Bob was a servant to many and embraced his small-town life with his family by his side. He was the self-proclaimed "Mayor" of South Sergeant Street and is fondly remembered as a good neighbor and friend who was always willing to lend a hand and a firm handshake. Bob was an active member of Community Presbyterian Church of Buckley from 1984 up until his death, where he served several terms as a Building and Grounds and Fellowship Elder. Bob was also the Head Chef for many Easter Breakfasts and Spaghetti Feeds where he affectionately crafted "Bouncin' Bobs Secret Spaghetti Sauce". In his later years, Bob got to become a kid again and enjoyed passing on his wisdom, humor and wit to his grandchildren who would carry on many of these same traits. Bob was preceded in death by his parents and half-siblings. He is survived by his wife Kay, son Eric (Kelsey), daughters Dana (Michael) and Robin, five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at Buckley Cemetery on Saturday, December 16, 2023 at 10:00AM, followed by a Memorial Service at 11:00AM to be held at Community Presbyterian Church of Buckley, 152 S. Judy Diane Hoffman was born December 5, 1953, at Giles Memorial Hospital in Pearisburg, Virginia and she ascended Thanksgiving Day, November 23, 2023. She was 69 years old. Judy grew up in Virginia and shortly after school, Judy met Robert (Bob). They quickly formed a bond. Bob was a career military man and Judy soon became a military wife. Caring for the family while moving place to place in the best, most loving way she could. Judy volunteered at many churches and commissaries as well throughout the years. Once Bob's military career was over, the family landed here, in Washington, where civilian family life replaced military life. Judy was part of the Federal Way School District Central Kitchen and finished out her career with the United States Postal Service. Judy's true joy in life was God and Family. She found herself immersed in the lives of ALL her grandchildren and great grandchildren. And they were made better by it. They couldn't wait for the next holiday at MawMaw's, where you would always find a warm welcome and a warm heart. Judy was beloved by all who encountered her. A great demeanor and outlook on life that her strong faith in the Lord provided. She always faced the world with open arms and an open heart. Judy would tell you she was just a part of God's flock. I am here to tell you she was the Shepherd of our flock, and she will be greatly missed by all. Judy was proceeded in death and will reunite with her loving husband, SGM Ret Robert Hoffman, her parents Orbie & Pauline Cumbee, birth mother-JoAnn Cumbee Harless, sisters Betty Dowdy, Barbara Langford, Patty Sessor and brother Donnie Cumbee, son Eric Hoffman and granddaughter Kylie Cooper. She is survived by and will be missed by her three daughters Michelle Gesterling, Nikki Cooper, Melissa Hutchens, grandchildren - Collin, Jordan, Marcus, Kaitlyn, Braiden, William (AKA WillyBill), great grandchildren - Cali, Bentley and Penelope, sisters Geneva Robinette, Charlotte Hendrickson, Samantha Suroski, brother Ronnie Cumbee and many nieces and nephews. Services for Judy will be held Saturday January 13, 2024, 11 am at South Hill Christian Church.
