She leaves her family the very difficult task of following in her footsteps, Rosanne Gilmour (Herb), Nancy Kernaghan (Kerny), Miles DeRosse (Diane), her grandchildren, Jason Gilmour (Dianne), Craig Gilmour (Beth), Kimberly Gilmour (Eric), Tara Marcellus (Rodney), Elisha Kernaghan (Darren), Amelia DeRosse (Bill), Tessa DeRosse (Steve), Ehren DeRosse (Teryn), Leah DeRosse, and Stephanie Macyszyn. Anne was co-owner of Benny's Shoe Repair where she spent endless hours patching shoes and mixing shoe dye, especially for bridesmaids. She knitted hundreds of bed jackets for babies and collected other supplies to send to the less fortunate. Mom loved people and appreciated all her friends and acquaintances. Special thank you to all her friends at Tranquility Chartwell, especially Mary Ellen and Madeleine, who always looked out for her. Much appreciation to the past nurses, especially Linda, Angela and Josie as well as all the present nurses, PSWs and staff, her caseworker Kelly and Dr. Tahir. To all the Palliative Outreach Team, we can't thank you enough Dr. Singh, Lara and VON Patti and the other VON nurses. Much appreciation goes to the Stedman Community Hospice Staff. Anne truly loved all of you and appreciated all that you did for her. She kept her welcoming smile and sense of humour right until the end. As per her request, a private family funeral has been held. In lieu of flowers any donation can be made to the Stedman Community Hospice Foundation or Toronto Sick Kids Hospital. In Anne's memory, help someone less fortunate.Show more
