Frank Smith Obituary

Frank Gerald Smith passed away peacefully in his home on April 21, 2023, at the age of 89. Frank was born in Holliday, Texas February 2, 1934. Growing up Flour Bluff, Texas instilled a life-long passion for flying. This passion and his love of country led him to enlist in the in The USAF in 1953. Quickly earning a commission and his pilots wings. Retiring in 1973. Frank began his second career as a teacher at A. C. Mosley High School. As an educator Frank was able to impact the lives of hundreds of students, as well as mentoring a new generation of teachers. Even after retiring from teaching he remained an ardent fan and season ticket holder for Mosley Dolphins football. Frank is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Susan; sons Daryl, Keith, and Clay; five grandchildren; and five great grandsons. He was preceded in death by his parents Gill and Ella Smith; brothers Billy Ray and Ralph Smith; and sister Bonnie Wesson. His first wife, Sidney Blanche, passed away in 1980 from ALS. Funeral services will be held 12:00 noon at Lynn Haven United Methodist Church, Thursday April 27, 2023 with visitation one hour prior at the church. To to the family or in memory of Frank G.
