"David Lea, 61, of Bartlesville, OK died at home on September 25, 2023. He was born in Bartlesville on March 26, 1962 to Bob Lea and Lura Spencer. David grew up spending his time split between Bartlesville and Copan; he was raised by his father Bob and his wife Peggy and his mother Lura and her husband Alan. He was very close to his grandmother Josephine. He has 9 sibilings - his twin brother Richard Lea; brothers Gary, Dewayn, Ben and Anthony Bryan and Dan Lea; he also has sisters Melissa Jordan and Debi Thorson. His family was very close and David was known to be kind, caring and a great friend to everyone he meets. David met and married the love of his life in 1986 and they were married for 37 years. He and his wife Elaine Lea were constant companions and went through life's adventures together, forever and always. David has 3 children - Aaron and Josh Lea and David Woodward. David has 6 grandchildren - Tristan, Jaxan and Anna Lea; Gage, Carter, and Paisley Woodward. David was a devoted family man loved by everyone. He was known to help anyone who needed it and cared deeply for his family and friends. David worked for and managed the Bartlesville Kiddie Park for more than 20 years. He was a familiar face to the many families and children who visited the park. Through his role as superintendent, he helped thousands of kids get their first job and have a safe place to grow and learn. He was the famous "Kiddie Park Magician" and was responsible for much of the growth and development of the park. David loved the Kiddie Park and was so proud to help his community and provide joy to so many kids and families. David will always be remembered for this great sense of humor and his caring heart. He was always quick with a joke, but could be counted on when things got tough. He will be very missed by his family and those who knew him best. David touched so many lives, his loss will be felt by many. David was preceded in death by his father Bob Lea. He is survived by his mother Lura and wife Elaine, as well as his siblings, children and grandchildren. His memory will live on forever in the hearts of those who loved him. A memorial service will be held Saturday 9/30/23 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Bartlesville, OK. Services will commence at 1:30p and a lunch will follow. Ronald (Ronnie) Doyle Brasel, a retired Licensed Practical Nurse, a veteran and a native resident of Barnsdall, OK, went to heaven December 2nd, 2023 at the young age of 77 at the Journey Home in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. The graveside service will be held December 7 , 2023 at 2pm and he will be laid to rest next to his parents and grandparents at the Ethel Reece Cemetery in Barnsdall, Oklahoma. Ronnie was born October 9th, 1946 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to the late Doyle Brasel and Ida Mae Brasel of Barnsdall, Oklahoma. Ronnie had a younger sister Vicki Falling that preceded him in death. Ronnie has two sons Ronald James Brasel married to Liza Brasel of Collinsville, Oklahoma and Mark Allen Brasel married to Sara Brasel of Collinsville, Oklahoma. Ronnie has four grandsons, Caleb James Brasel, Nicolas Brasel, Brent Brasel and RJ Akers. Ronnie also had one great-granddaughter Lilith Brasel and one great-grandson Hunter Brasel. Ronnie also had two nephews Chis Falling and TJ Falling and one niece Jenny Falling. Ronnie graduated Barnsdall High School in 1965 and start furthering his education and went to the Culinary Arts School in Okmulgee, Oklahoma. Ronnie also worked at the Plant in Barnsdall, Oklahoma and Reda Pump in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. He finished off the last 24 years of his career as a Licensed Practical Nurse at the Heritage Village Nursing Home in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. Ronnie is a veteran and served 20 years in the Oklahoma National Guard and retired at the rank of Sergent First Class. Ronnie loved spending time with his family, playing golf and watch cowboy westerns on TV. Ronnie was a member of the First Christian Church of Barnsdall. Ronnie loved being around others and always had a smile on his face. My dad was a very loving kind man. Dad, we love you and will miss you very much.Show more

Bonnie G. (Barnett) Sherman, 69, Independence, Kansas passed away on Thursday, November 30, 2023, at Ascension St. John’s Jane Phillips Medical Center in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Webb & Rodrick Chapel and Crematory and a family memorial will be held at a later date. Bonnie was born January 11, 1954, in Spokane, Washington to James Robert and Hazel Marie (Hanna) Barnett. She attended grade school in Wilbraham, Massachusetts before moving to Independence, Kansas with her family where she graduated Independence High School. After she finished high school, she then attended Southwestern College where she received her bachelor’s degree in psychology. Following her education Bonnie married Roger Sherman on June 25, 1981, in Independence, Kansas. The couple later divorced. Bonnie was a homemaker and enjoyed reading, learning about history, genealogy, hiking, and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and family. She was an avid animal lover and loved her pets dearly. Bonnie loved Independence, especially the library and the park, and its history. She was proudly independent and had many friends, family, and acquaintances who will miss her humor and willingness to share her ideas. Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, her life partner Harold Romine, one nephew Kyle Barnett. Those left to cherish her memory include one daughter Suzanne Sherman and life partner Michael Evans, Overland Park, Kansas; two brothers, Steve (Carolyn) Barnett, Chanute, Kansas; Don (Mary Ellen) Barnett, Jefferson City, Missouri; two grandchildren Brianna Evans and Tristan Evans, Overland Park, Kansas; one nephew Colin (Erica) Barnett, Republic, Missouri; one niece, Stephanie (Terry) Horton, Charleston, South Carolina. "Diana Marie Douthit, 64, of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, passed away on November 26, 2023. She touched many lives as a daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, friend and educator. Known for her kindness, welcoming, and positivity, Diana's loving presence will be missed by all who were privileged to know her. Her memory and love will be carried on by those whose hearts she touched and whose minds she nourished as an educator. Diana was born on August 10, 1959 to Richard Lewis and Margaret June (Lawson) Archer in Pryor, Oklahoma. She graduated from Sooner highschool in 1977. Diana went on to study at Oklahoma State University, earning her degree in 1981. On May 10, 1981 Diana married Guy Douthit. In their 42 year marriage, they welcomed 2 children, Daniel and Andrea, and shared a warm and supportive relationship full of good-natured teasing, laughter and happiness. As a mother, Diana fostered her children's independence and encouraged them to think for themselves, but made sure to always be there with generous hugs, encouraging words, and a willingness to listen whenever needed. The pride she held for her children was obvious to both of them and to anyone else who knew Diana. She dedicated her teaching career to Bartlesville Public Schools, spending the majority of it serving the students of Ranch Heights Elementary as a kindergarten and first grade teacher. Beloved by her students and their parents, Diana was repeatedly recognized as an accomplished educator, receiving the teacher of the year award and earning her National Boards Certification for Professional Teaching. Shortly after retiring from teaching, Diana returned to Ranch Heights as the financial secretary. Throughout her long career, she demonstrated her dedication to this school community and showed care to the students and staff with her kindness, diligence, and leadership. In her spare time, Diana enjoyed gardening, reading, and traveling. She delighted in being a grandparent and enjoyed gathering with family and friends, often hosting for holidays, and always welcoming others into her home. Diana was preceded in death by her father, Richard Lewis Archer. She is survived by her husband Guy Douthit, son Daniel Douthit, daughter Andie Mitchell, son-in-law Tyler Mitchell, grandchild Simon Mitchell, mother Margaret June Archer and her siblings, Janet Edwards, Jack Archer, and Carla Walker. A celebration of life will be held at Stumpff Funeral Home on December 9 from 2:00-5:00. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be made to the Bartlesville Public Schools Activity Fund. "Crystal Jeanine Thibodeau Allen, age 63, of Bartlesville Ok passed away on December 1, 2023. She was welcomed into heaven and reunited with many special people who she loved very much. She was the daughter of Gerald Richard and Nina "Doris" Thibodeau and was born on March 9, 1960 in Ada, Oklahoma. She married Scott Allen on August 7, 1979 and they moved and made their home in Bartlesville in 1985. She was a licensed practical nurse but anyone who knew her would say that her proudest accomplishment was to be called grandma or nana to her precious grandchildren. Crystal is survived by her sister, Linda Dewbre and husband Ron. Her brother Joe Thibodeau. Her brother Jerry Thibodeau and wife Stephanie. Daughter Alisha Haley and husband Robert and their children Mielle, Emmelin, and Maizie. Daughter Amanda Mitchell and husband Morgan and their children Brooke, Beau, and Kipp. She was loved by many other family members as well. Crystal is preceded in death by her husband, Scott Allen and one daughter, Amber Jo Allen who passed away at the age of five months in 1986. Her father and mother and loving stepfather, Donald Wood. Her sister Kay Thibodeau Zoski and her husband Larry. Her sister-in-law Cherry Thibodeau. Crystal enjoyed shopping and had a way of always finding the most unique and eclectic things for her home and for others. She was the BEST gift giver and always made Christmas magical for those she loved. She also enjoyed watching TV, especially all of the silly reality TV shows. She enjoyed just being at home and loved the time she spent with Sammy, her beloved little tea cup poodle and best friend. She was playful, optimistic, cheerful, and always made everyone laugh. She was a joy to be around. Every goodbye with the grandkids took forever. It was always a race to see who could prove their love more. We love you to the moon and back and more than all of the sand on the shore and all of the water on the earth. We love you more than all of the leaves on the trees and the flowers covering the ground. We love you more than all of the grains of salt and more than all of the stars and the birds in the sky and all of the clouds in the air.
