Francis Meagher Obituary

"Francis Edward Meagher, aged 94, died peacefully on Friday, April 21, 2023 at Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital. He was born in Elizabeth NJ to the late John Joseph Meagher and Margaret Mary (Halton) Meagher on October 14, 1928. He attended Hillside High School, Hillside, NJ. Upon graduating, he served in the United States Army and was also a Reservist until 1961. He worked for the Singer Sewing Company as a Machinist until his retirement in 1985. Frank was an avid golfer and bowler. He worked at the Short Hills Club, Short Hills, NJ for many years as a bartender and limousine driver until he moved to Santa Rosa, CA. , IN 1999. Anyone who met him was greeted with a firm handshake, captivating smile and a witty story. Frank was predeceased by his loving wife, Helen Genevieve Meagher in 2006. He is survived by his devoted son Mark Meagher. He was predeceased by his brother John Meagher and his sister Margaret Martin. Frank will be sadly missed by his nieces, nephews and cousins in the United States and Canada. He also had many loyal and caring friends with whom he shared his life. Services will be private. Interment will be at Mt. Tamalpais Cemetery at the discretion of his family. "
