Francesco Lepore, 77, of Union Beach, NJ passed away Sunday, September 10th, surrounded by his loving family at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. Francesco was born in Toritto Bari, Italy on May 19, 1946. He was raised in Italy and served in the Italian Army before finally settling in Union Beach where he and his adoring wife, Giuseppina, raised their family. Francesco was a hard worker and worked at the Monmouth County Vocational Schools for many years as well completing many home remodel jobs as side work. He had a love for tile work and was great at what he did. He could always be found outside tending to his loved grape vines and garden, visiting yard sales, crabbing or in the kitchen cooking. Francesco was always very proud of his homemade wine and sauce, which he would make every year with his family. His family will always cherish the loving memories and life lessons he taught them all. Francesco is predeceased by his parents Joseph and Milena Lepore as well as his sister Nicoletta Servidio. He leaves behind his loving wife of forty nine years, Giuseppina Nee Guarcello Lepore, his cherished sons Ive and wife Tori, Alessandro, and Roberto and wife Jillian. He also leaves his four grandchildren, Danielle, Vanessa, Nicolas and Francesca. Visitation will be held 4 PM to 8 PM on Thursday, September 14th at Day Funeral Home in Keyport, New Jersey and again visitation will be held 9 AM to 9:45 AM on Friday, September 15th at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 AM on Friday, September 15th at Holy Family RC Church in Union Beach, NJ. Entombment will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery of Keyport, NJ.

Robert Merrick Cross Jr. , 56, of Union Beach, New Jersey, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Monday, July 31, 2023. Robert was born on October 27, 1966, in Newark, New Jersey, and grew up in the Ironbound section. On September 3, 2000, Robert and his beloved wife, Michelle, were married and began their life together in Kearny. In 2003, after the birth of their first daughter, they settled in Union Beach to raise their family. Robert was an extremely intelligent man, especially in the computer field. He worked as a computer technician for Main Tech in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, for many years. He was also a very proud Freemason. Robert served as Worshipful Master for three years at the Monmouth Lodge in Atlantic Highlands and devoted much of his time to completing volunteer work for them. In his spare time, Robert enjoyed building Star Trek models and loved cooking all kinds of delicious meals for his family. Above all else, Robert was most proud of his loving daughters and his family. He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten. He was predeceased by his mother, Janet Helen (Condit) Cross. Robert is survived by his adoring father, Robert Merrick Cross Sr. and his wife, Fay, his beloved and devoted wife of 22 years, Michele Marie (Massalone) Cross, his loving daughters, Megan Marie Cross and Faith Lauren Cross, and his dear siblings, Barbara Ann Baird and her husband, John, Christopher Cross, Candice Pierson, and Charles Campisi. Robert is also survived by his cherished niece and goddaughter, Cassandra Lynn Baird, along with many more treasured nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Helen L. Oneto, 79, of Union Beach, New Jersey, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, April 18, 2023. She was born on April 23, 1943 in Hoboken, New Jersey, where she grew up. In 1962, Helen moved to Hazlet, New Jersey. Shortly after on October 17, 1964, Helen and her husband, Kenneth, were married and began their life and family together in Hazlet. They remained life-long residents of Hazlet, where she raised her five beloved children and in 2019, they retired to Union Beach. Above all else, Helen was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, and friend to many. She will be greatly missed and never forgotten. She was predeceased by her parents, Dominick and Mary (Gleason) Licalsi, her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Christine and Victor Oneto, and her brother-in-law, Albert Warshefskie. Helen is survived by her beloved and devoted husband of 58 years, Kenneth V. Oneto, her loving children, Angela Doriety of Hazlet, New Jersey, Diane Arnold and her husband, Harry, of Hazlet, Kenneth Oneto Jr. and his wife, Leah, of Monroe, North Carolina, Dominick Oneto of Hazlet, Victor Oneto and his wife, Laurie, of East Windsor, New Jersey, and Rachel Gleason and her husband, James, and her dear sister, Marry Kinneman and her husband, John. Marilyn June Manning, a selfless, generous, and kind woman, passed away peacefully on April 17, 2023, in Union Beach, New Jersey. Born on April 11, 1943, in Brooklyn, New York, she devoted her life to caring for and nurturing others, leaving a lasting impact on the hearts of all who knew her. Born Marilyn Johannessen to immigrant parents from Norway Tom Johannessen and Augot Jacobsen; Marilyn grew up in Brooklyn and graduated from Bay Ridge High School. She went on to study and become a secretary and administrative assistant, working in Manhattan for a couple of years before discovering her true calling in life: caring for children. Her love for helping others led her to adopt six children from Angel Guardian Home in Dyker Heights, Brooklyn, New York. Together with her husband, they became foster parents and cared for over 35 children during their 30 years of service to those in need. Marilyn's family was her pride and joy. She is survived by her children, Kerri Manning-Freeo, Lisa Maldonado, John Manning, Alexander Manning, and Maria Manning, her beloved grandchildren, Nicole Freeo, Trevor Freeo, Alicia Raymond, John and Abigail Manning, Helena and Nolan Maldonado, Milo and Felix Moorhead, and Domnick Belajonas. Marilyn was predeceased by her husband, Michael Manning, and daughter, Patricia Hewitt, who passed away on December 26, 2021. In addition to her passion for children, Marilyn had a variety of interests that brought her joy throughout her life. She was a talented bowler and enjoyed painting ceramics, often creating beautiful pieces to share with her loved ones. Marilyn also found comfort and relaxation in crocheting, making many cherished items for her family and friends. Marilyn faced numerous health challenges in her later years, including COPD, emphysema, dementia, and congestive heart failure. Despite these hardships, her love for her family and her selfless nature remained unwavering. Marilyn's generous spirit and warm heart will be forever remembered by all who were fortunate enough to know her. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Marilyn's memory to a charity that supports fostering and adoption, as she dedicated a significant portion of her life to providing loving homes for children in need. A celebration of Marilyn's life will be held on Saturday April 29, 2023 from 12pm to 2pm at Colonial Funeral Home , 2819 Hylan Boulevard allowing loved ones to come together and remember the extraordinary woman she was. John C. Rachunok, 77, of Union Beach, New Jersey passed away at home, surrounded by his loving family. John was born on October 10, 1945, in Brooklyn, New York. He met the love of his life, Carol Boyle, and they married in 1969. Together they moved to Carteret, New Jersey and then to Union Beach, New Jersey, where they raised their sons. John served his country honorably in the United States Air Force. John was a communicant of Holy Family R. C. Church, Union Beach, New Jersey and was also a member of the Knights of Columbus, St. Joseph's Council. John volunteered as a Little League coach and with his sons' Boy Scout Troop # 134. He retired from Arch Insurance in 2017 after a 50 year career in IT. Later in his life, John took up skiing with his sons and they enjoyed this new adventure for many years. He was a devoted, son, husband, father, and grandfather. John will be greatly missed and never forgotten. John was predeceased by his beloved parents, Walter and Adelaide (Jeftuch) Rachunok and a brother, James Rachunok. Richard F. King, 86, of Union Beach, NJ passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on January 16, 2023. He is predeceased by his mother and father, Rose and James King, and brother, the Rev. James King, CSsR. He is survived by his wife, Phyllis; his children Theresa (Joe), Marianne (Rob), Dennis (Denise), Patrick (Donna), and Elizabeth (Ken); and his grandchildren Corinne, Lauren, Alyssa, Kathleen, Jacob, Charlie, Patrick, Erin, and Andrew. Richard was born in Red Bank, NJ and was a graduate of Red Bank Catholic, Class of 1954. A throughline of his life was service to his community and faith. His early years as a sergeant in the National Guard were followed by over 40 years working at Construction Specialties Group. He volunteered in support of Holy Family Parish and its former school, serving as President of the Athletics Association, Treasurer of Boy Scout Troop 134, and President of the Holy Name Society. He was dedicated in his service to the Knights of Columbus St. Joseph Council for over 20 years, holding positions that included Grand Knight, Faithful Navigator, Color Corps Commander, Financial Secretary, and Faithful Comptroller. Always most important to Richard was his love and devotion to his family. He met his wife Phyllis at the State Hospital at Marlboro where they both worked (he liked to emphasize they were not patients). They danced through 63 years of marriage, despite their impressive height difference, building a life together with five children and nine grandchildren. Richard's family will remember him for his strength and persistence; his constant encouragement and love; his quickness to offer his time, truck, tools, and skills to anyone in need; his sweet tooth; and his humor, including Donald Duck impressions. Most prominently, we will remember his voice, powerful and bellowing in any setting - from the musicals of his youth to the hymns that filled every church to his cherished birthday voicemails. His voice embodied his strength, love, and support of us, cheering us on, and transcending any crowd, space, or location. It will continue to reverberate in our hearts forever.
