Frances Spencer Obituary

Frances Louise Spencer was born on October 7, 1923 in Humboldt, TN, to Edgar and Clara Williams. She went to her Heavenly Father on May 7, 2023. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Edward Spencer; siblings, Malcolm Williams and Kay Cates. She graduated from Alamo High School in 1942 and was a member of First United Methodist Church. She retired from Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. Frances loved to cook and fellowship with friends and family. She is survived by her three daughters, Fran Chandler (Willie), Mary Claire Hancock, and Susan Bland (Carmen); nine grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Charles Williams and two nieces and two nephews. The family will receive friends and loved ones on Wednesday, May 10, 2023 from 12 p. m. - 2 p. m. at the North Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons. Following visitation, an escorted funeral procession will leave the funeral home for Ridgecrest Cemetery where a graveside service will be held at 2:30 p. m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials in Frances' memory be directed to the West Tennessee Hearing and Speech Center, 65 Ridgecrest Rd. , Jackson, TN 38305 or Gentiva Hospice, 1024 Greystone Square, Jackson, TN 38305.
