Frances Pochy Obituary

Frances J. Pochy, age 94, of Orange passed away peacefully in her home on September 9, 2023 surrounded by her loving family. She joined her beloved husband, Edward, and son John who preceded her in death. She was born in Derby on April 29, 1929 the daughter of the late Frank and Josephine Janicki. She leaves behind her son David Pochy and his wife Debbie. Mrs. Pochy was a lifetime member of St. Michael's Church and the Catholic War Veterans Auxiliary. She loved her family more than anything and dedicated her life to her husband and two sons. Frances moved to her home in Orange in 1965 where she raised her children and tended to her beloved gardens. She had worked in and tended to her gardens well into her eighties. Her yard was a vision to be seen in the springtime with waves of yellow daffodils, gorgeous rhododendron and dogwood trees. She loved to cook for her family and cherished the simple pleasures of life. Friends are invited to greet her family on Friday September 15 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM in the Edward F. Adzima Funeral Home, 253 Elizabeth St. Derby. Her funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM in the Funeral Home. Burial will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Ansonia.
