Frances L. DeLane, died Friday, October 6, 2023 at Advent Health Palm Coast Hospice, Palm Coast Florida. She was 69. Frances was born in the Bronx, N. Y. She lived in North Brunswick and New Egypt, N. J. before moving to Palm Coast, Florida 23 years ago. She was a teacher with the Flagler County Schools, Palm Coast, FL for 16 years and she retired 5 1/2 years ago. She also was a teacher in the North Brunswick School system and worked at A. T. & T. Frances was a communicant of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, Palm Coast, FL Frances is predeceased by her parents, William H. and Vivian Elizabeth (Noisette) Middleton; siblings, Albertha Clarice Holmes, Marcheter Waller and Randy Middleton. She is survived by her husband, Ben DeLane, Jr. of Palm Coast, FL; two daughters - Teghan DeLane of Manhasset, N. Y. ; Mia DeLane-Gurley of Elmont, N. Y. ; six sisters - Anna Cowdrick of Pantego, TX; Paula LaLande of New York, N. Y. ; Sheila Stoney of Franklin, N. J. ; Charlene Tillman of Ewing, N. J. ; Elizabeth Middleton of Arlington, TX; Josephine Middleton-Saulny of Smyrna, GA; four brothers - William H. Middleton of Lawrence, N. Louise Farella, age 87, passed away surrounded by the love of her family on Saturday, November 25, 2023. She was born on August 1, 1936, in New York, New York, to the late Gabriel and Angela (Valenzano) Farella. As a young girl, Louise relocated to North Brunswick, where she would spend the entirety of her life. Louise was a woman of remarkable achievements, dedicating her professional life to the real estate industry. She served with pride and success at the Bob Grimm Agency in East Brunswick, leaving an indelible mark on the community she served. In her leisure time, Louise found joy in the thrill of Atlantic City, where she and her brother would try their luck in the casinos. Her taste for the finer things in life was also evident in her appreciation for a glass of wine, always enjoyed with only a single cube of ice. Above all else, Louise cherished her family and took immense pride in being a great-great Aunt. Her love and devotion to family were unwavering, creating lasting memories that will be cherished by all who knew her. Louise is predeceased by her brothers, Ralph, Angelo, Joseph, and Louis, as well as their spouses, Antoinette and Kim. She is also preceded in death by her sisters Rose Caruso and Mary Santoro, along with their husbands Vincent Caruso and Cateno Santoro, and her sister-in-law, Sandi Farella. She is survived by her brother, Michael Farella, and her loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces, and great-great-nephews, as well as her godchildren, extended family, and friends. A funeral mass will follow at 11:00 A. M. at Our Lady of Peace Church in North Brunswick, NJ. All services will conclude at the church. A private committal service will be held at a later date. Rosemary T. Olsen, age 98, of North Brunswick, New Jersey, passed away peacefully in her home on November 6, 2023, from natural causes. Rosemary was a very special woman ahead of her time. Her presence in the family will be sorely missed. Rosemary was born on March 26, 1925, to John Bauer and Alice Bauer nee Trubenstein in Brooklyn, New York. On August 2, 1946, Rosemary married the love of her life, Jacob W. Olsen, in Brooklyn, New York. They were married 60 years at the time of Jacob's passing in 2007, having shared a beautiful and loving life together. Their love and commitment to each other was like a fairy tale. Rosemary often spoke fondly of growing up in Brooklyn, meeting her husband before he served in World War II, their courtship when he returned home from the War, and their years together making a home and raising a family. Rosemary was retired from Permacel, a division of Johnson & Johnson, where she was a member of the Quarter Century Club. She was proud of her contribution at Permacel and spoke fondly of her time there. Being a working woman was a huge part of her identity. She was fiercely independent and opinionated in the very best way. Rosemary is predeceased by her daughter Rosemary Marschilok of Stamford, New York, and survived by her grandchildren: Rosemary Alwine of Delhi, New York, Janet Roe of Hobart, New York, Jamie Marschilok of Hobart, New York, and Danielle Mattice of South Kortright, New York. Rosemary is also survived by her daughter Janet Olsen of North Brunswick, New Jersey, and two grandchildren, Christina Previte of Morristown, New Jersey, and Anthony Previte, of Peoria, Illinois. Rosemary has seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild, Kylee Rose. Rosemary also had a special fondness for her nephew, Jack Olsen (son of her beloved sister Alice who predeceased her) and his wife, Kathy Olsen, of Brooklyn. Rosemary was always very grateful for the kindness and love from Jackie and Kathy over the years. Rosemary was a kind and caring woman with a punchy sense of humor. She was very proud of being an independent woman ahead of her time, working from the time she was 16 years old. She often told stories about the years she spent at Johnson & Johnson. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed making home-cooked meals for her family to enjoy together at the table. This world will never see mashed potatoes like Rosemary's again. Mrs. Annette (nee Vellaccio) Cirillo passed away at 4:20 pm on Monday, October 30, 2023 at St. Peter's University Medical Center with her family by her side. She was 86 years old. Mrs. Cirillo was born and raised in New Haven, Connecticut. She graduated Wilbur Cross High School, class of 1955, then four years later earned a Bachelor of Science degree from New Haven State Teachers College. On July 2, 1960 she married her high school sweetheart, Vincent Cirillo. The young couple relocated to New Jersey, living in Woodbridge and Edison before settling in North Brunswick where they would raise a family of their own. Mrs. Cirillo was a second grade teacher for more than twenty years at St. Peter's Elementary School in New Brunswick. Born to her vocation, she was chosen Educator of the Year in 1992 by her peers at St. Peter's. She also directed the Penance and First Holy Communion programs. She loved to entertain with Thanksgiving being her favorite holiday to do so. She was predeceased by her parents Dominic and Josephine (nee DiChello) Vellaccio. She was also predeceased by her siblings, Frank Vellaccio, Mary Pagliuca, Theresa Santomasso, Josephine Savo, Ann Rienzo and Angela Gagliardi. Mrs. Cirillo is survived by her husband of sixty-three years, Dr. Vincent Cirillo, Sr. She is also survived by her sons Vincent Cirillo, Jr. and his wife Tina and Paul Cirillo and his wife Michele Sarullo, her grandchildren Joseph Michael Cirillo, Jennifer Turner and Jessica Turner and by her siblings Dominic Vellaccio and Vera DeLucia. Services are under the direction of Selover Funeral Home, North Brunswick. Due to renovations, services will be held at the Gleason Funeral Home 1360 Hamilton Street in Somerset. Phyllis Ellen MacKinney, passed away peacefully on Wednesday October 25, 2023 at home, into the arms of the Lord, surrounded by her loving family. Grammy, as she was affectionately called, was born in Highland Park, NJ on November 17, 1935 to Ella Hart and Philip A. Kehoe. She was so proud of her Irish heritage, her father born in County Wexford, coming to the United State as an infant. She and her older sister, Marrie (Jim Walsh, d. 2023), had many friendships and memories from their childhood on Felton Avenue. After graduating from Highland Park High School, she attended Newark Secretarial School. She and Bob were married at St. Paul's Church and their earliest years together were spent in San Diego, California, where Bob served as an electrician in the Navy. Phyllis was a partner to Bob in their family business, MacKinney Oil Company in Highland Park. Grammy was a strong woman who raised six successful children in Highland Park and Bridgewater, NJ and had many adventures with friends and family. She enjoyed playing bridge, gardening, and spending time at the family cabin on the Delaware River. Her treasured paintings hang in the homes of her children. Phyllis had lifelong friendships with women who supported one another through all that life threw their way. She is survived by her devoted husband of 69 years, Robert 'Bob" MacKinney III, along with their children Patti (Michael Lancto), Bob (Cindy), Philip (Adrienne Nicotera), Beth (Karl Hauschild), Michael (Jeannine), and Kristin (Erik Herman). She will also be greatly missed by her grandchildren, PJ (Hailey), Ashley (Colin), Megan (Chris), Bobby (Clare), Mickey, Kevin (Alexa), Matthew, Brian, Eric, Sean, Danny, Sam, Kelly and Katie, and great-grandchildren, Colton, Kiera, Mia, Philip, and Chloe. Ermina B. Tagaan, 65, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on Wednesday, October 11, 2023, at her home in North Brunswick, New Jersey. She was born on March 29, 1958, in Dipolog City, Philippines, to the late Eleodoro and Cornelia (Balancar) Besario. In 1986, she immigrated to the United States, initially in Massachusetts, then to New Jersey, and eventually making North Brunswick her beloved home. A beacon of compassion and dedication, Ermina's calling was in the noble field of nursing. She pursued her passion wholeheartedly, earning a distinguished bachelor's degree in nursing. For many years, she served as a devoted registered nurse at HMH JFK Hospital in Edison, New Jersey, where her care and empathy touched countless lives. Her commitment to her profession extended to her membership in the esteemed Philippine Nursing Association and has mentored so many new nurses in all her 44 years in the nursing profession. Beyond her vocation, Ermina was an artist of nature, tending to her garden with a loving touch that mirrored the care she showed to all. She also enjoyed gathering friends and family, hosting countless parties and was always the life of the party. However, her deepest affection was reserved for her family, and her love, particularly for her adoring grandchildren, was immeasurable. She is survived by her devoted husband of 43 years, Samuel Tagaan, and her children: Christian Tagaan, Jan Michael Tagaan, Bryan Tagaan (and his wife Jacky), Kristine Mathiesen (and her husband David), and Chiara Schwager (and her husband, Eric). She is also survived by her sister, Eppie Gallemit, and her brothers, Camelo Besario and Cedrick Besario. Ermina leaves behind cherished memories for her grandchildren: Nathaniel Ryan, Aiden Michael, Kai Samuel, and Heath Tagaan. Family and friends may visit on Friday, October 13th from 8:00 to 11:00 A. Francis Scott Berger, 61, of North Brunswick, NJ passed away on Saturday September 9th, 2023. Francis, or Scott, as most people knew him, was born on May 4, 1962 at Middlesex General Hospital in New Brunswick, NJ. He spent his childhood in Edison and settled down in North Brunswick, NJ. An arborist by trade, Scott worked in the tree removal business most of his life, at one point even owning his own business. He loved riding his Harley Davidson motorcycles and taking trips through the scenic landscapes around him. A Deadhead, he often spent the weekend mornings blasting their music, regardless of what hour in the morning it was. He always had a big heart for animals, especially his dogs, loving every set of paws or pair of wings that came through his front door. His summers were spent down the Jersey shore on the boardwalk or at Hershey Park campgrounds with his family. He had a way of making anybody in the room laugh and had a story for every occasion. He lived a life full of adventure and had made an impact on everyone around him. Scott is predeceased by his parents, Loretta and Grady Waddell, and his sister Donna Yanez. He was a proud father and is survived by his sons, Ryan, Dylan and his wife Erinn, and Devin Berger, and Christopher Walzer; his sisters Debra Waddell-Adorna and Lynnda Waddell, and his brother Grady Waddell; and several nieces, nephews, and grandchildren. He was deeply loved by his family and lifelong friends and will be greatly missed by all. Robert C. West Sr. , affectionately known as Bob, passed away on September 7, 2023, in North Brunswick. He was born on December 23, 1951, in Elizabeth. Bob was a dedicated individual who started his career as a welder for Merck & Co. , Englehard, and Westinghouse Corp. before joining the Borough of Highland Park as a mechanic from which he retired in 2020. He had a remarkable ability to fix things, whether it was cars or other mechanical objects, and his skills as a handyman earned him a well-deserved reputation within the community. A true patriot, Bob loved America with all his heart and was a champion of free speech. He served in the Navy from 1970 to 1974, demonstrating his unwavering commitment to his country. His military service was a testament to his bravery and dedication to duty. When he wasn't working, Bob enjoyed indulging in his hobbies and interests. He was a proud member of the Teamster Union. Bob had a particular passion for fixing things and welding metal, these creative outlets allowed him to express himself and bring joy to those around him. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family. Survived by his loving family and friends, Bob will forever remain in their hearts. He is survived by his daughter Jennifer Henderson and son-in-law Edward Henderson of Rahway. Additionally, he is survived by his son Robert C. West Jr. and daughter-in-law Colleen West of Parlin, NJ. Bob was a proud grandfather to his grandsons Shane Patrick and Brody Robert who affectionately called him Pop Pop. In addition to his immediate family, Bob is survived by his sisters Barbara Shea of South Dakota and Charlotte Messick of Virginia, his brothers Raymond West Jr. (Vicky) of Virginia, Richard West (Tammy) of Virginia, Randy West of Virginia. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews who will cherish their memories with him. Bob’s presence in the lives of those who knew him will be greatly missed. He touched the hearts of many with his warm smile, helping hands, and compassionate spirit. May he rest in peace knowing that he made a significant impact on those around him. Bob’s funeral services will take place at The Crabiel Home For Funerals located at 170 North Main Street - at Riva Avenue in Milltown, NJ.
