Francene Ryan Obituary

Francene A. (Connor) Ryan, 79, formerly of East Hartford and Cape Cod, MA, passed away after a long illness on Saturday, April 22, 2023 at Hartford Hospital. Francene was the loving wife of over 61 years to Robert E. Ryan. Born in Hartford on February 12, 1944, a daughter of the late Francis and Leatrice (Jaingreve) Connor, she was a resident of the East Hartford area for most of her life, prior to retiring to South Dennis of Cape Cod, MA for 22 years. Francene attended Weaver High School in Hartford and worked at Travelers Insurance Company, Hartford for over 20 years in their Risk Management department. She was an avid reader and long-time loyal fan of the New York Yankees and UConn Women's basketball team. Most of all, Francene was a devoted and proud wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great cook who enjoyed spending Sunday pasta dinners with her family and friends. Along with her beloved husband Robert, Francene is survived by two sons, Robert E. "Bob" Ryan and his wife Patricia of East Hartford, Daniel S. "Dan" Ryan of Glastonbury; two daughters, Cristine L. Morin of Coventry, Colleen M. Ryan and her partner Ted Doeing both of Manchester; five cherished grandchildren, Kevin Ryan and his wife Brandy of Colchester, Ally Bellucci and her husband Casey of Manchester, Stephanie Luginbuhl and her husband Hayden of Tolland, Christopher Morin, Jr. of Coventry, Vanessa Ryan of Manchester; four adored great-grandchildren, Gavin Ryan, Mason Ryan, Kailey Bellucci, Landon Luginbuhl; a former son-in-law, Christopher Morin of Coventry; several cousins and dear friends. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by a granddaughter, Annie Willson of Manchester. Funeral service will be Thursday, April 27, 2023 at 12:30 pm at the D'Esopo East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter Street, East Hartford. Burial will follow at Silver Lane Cemetery, East Hartford. Francene's family will receive relatives and friends at the funeral home chapel on Thursday from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm.
