Floyd Goodman Obituary

Floyd Irvin Goodman, 84, of Rockwell, passed away Saturday, May 6, 2023 at the W. G. Bill Hefner VA Medical Center in Salisbury. Floyd was born October 5, 1938 in Rowan County to the late Issac Goodman and Bertie Miller Goodman. Floyd retired from Fieldcrest Cannon as a Supervisor in the Weave Room. He was a member of Organ Lutheran Church. He was a veteran of the US Army. Floyd enjoyed building wagons, gardening and spending time with his family. In addition to his parents, Floyd was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Goodman, sister Dorothy "Dot" Honeycutt, and his three brothers, Hubert "John"Goodman, Bob Goodman and Eugene "Smokey" Goodman. Floyd is survived by his son, Tim Goodman of Atlanta, GA and his sister, Christine Culp of Rockwell. The family will greet friends and relatives on Wednesday, May 10th from 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM in the Parlor at Organ Lutheran Church. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, May 10th at Organ Lutheran Church, Salisbury, NC, with Pastor Tonya Brittain, officiating. Military Graveside rites will take place in the Organ Lutheran Church Cemetery following the service. Memorials may be made to Organ Lutheran Church, 1515 Organ Church Road, Salisbury, NC 28146.
