Florine Evelyn Godfrey, 92, of Bethel, passed away on September 9, 2023. Florine was born August 29, 1931, in Somerset, KY, to the late Augustus and Hattie VanHoosier. Florine was the loving wife of the late Wilbur E. Godfrey. Beloved mother of Evelyn Hill (the late Michael), Carl E. Godfrey, and the late Brenda Godrey. Grandmother of 5 grandchildren, great-grandmother of 7 great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandmother of 9 great-great-grandchildren. Sister of Helen, Jackie, Homer, Howard, and Betty. Also survived numerous nieces, and nephews. Preceded in death by siblings; Harold, Doreene, Raymond, Herman, Halbert, and Buck. Visitation will be held at E. C. Nurre Funeral Home 315 W. Plane St. (St. RT. 125) Bethel, on Thursday, September 14, 2023, from 10:00 - 11:00 AM. A graveside service will follow at 11:30 AM at Mt Moriah Cemetery 686 Mt. Moriah Dr. Cincinnati, OH 45245.

Rita L. Cooper of Latonia, KY passed away on Wednesday November 29, 2023, at the age of 76. She was born to the late Marble Marion and Thelma Elizabeth (McKee) Lowe on June 12th, 1947, in Cincinnati, OH. Rita is survived by her loving children Anthony (Kristie) Cooper, Darrell (Lara) Cooper and Chris Cooper; her caring Grandchildren Casey Cooper Hardin, Caydence Cooper Hydera, Max Cooper, William Cooper, Morgan Cooper, Sam Cooper, Madison Cooper, and Trinity Cooper and by her brother Robert (Judy) Lowe; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends. In addition to her parents Rita was preceded in death by her husband Carl David Cooper Sr. , and her siblings Bertha (Lowe) Duncanson, Thomas Lowe, Richard Lowe, and Marble Marion Lowe. A public visitation will be held for Rita on Monday December 4th, at E. C. Nurre Funeral Home in Amelia from 6 pm until 8pm. She is also survived by her maternal grandparents: Jeff and Tina Mascari, her paternal grandparents: Bob and Lois Santel, and many Aunts, Uncles, and cousins. Our beloved father, Bobby K Stamm, born on May 5th, 1957, now carried in in our hearts has passed on November 26, 2023, at the age of 66. Bobby is the son of Carl Stamm and Dorothy Stamm (Kiskaden). He is survived by his wife, Catherine Stamm (Stephens), and his two sons, Joshua and Jesse Stamm. Our father was someone who belonged to a large family and begins his eternal rest being met by his late brothers, Mike and Dennis, as well as his three sisters, Connie Sue Stamm, Phyllis Stamm, and Virginia (Ginny) Reese. Their memories are lived on by David (Lavena) Stamm and Bill Stamm, along with the vast amount of family and friends who love them. A memorial gathering will be held at E. C. Nurre funeral home in Amelia (177 W Main Street) from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM.Show more

Virginia Collier, a resident of Union Township, Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away peacefully at The Glen Assisted Living on November 27, 2023 at the age of 95. She was born in Latrobe, PA to the late Flora and Joseph Visconti. Virginia was the loving wife of the late Charles R. Collier, beloved mother of Ken Collier (Sharon) and Jill Snyder (Tim), devoted and cherished grandmother of Carrie Deaton (Rich), Joe Collier (Ashley), Drew Snyder (Ashley) and Jake Snyder (Kelly) and great-grandmother of Rian Deaton, Charlie Collier, Knox Snyder and Lettie Snyder, dear sister of Theresa Gaudino, Joseph Visconti and the late Mary Eleanor Leonhardt and Gloria Brookbank. Virginia was a volunteer at Good Samaritan Hospital and an active parishioner at St. Veronica Church. She was also an avid Pittsburgh Steeler fan. Family and friends are invited to a memorial gathering/visitation for Virginia on Saturday, December 2 from 10-11 AM at St. Veronica Church, 4473 Mt. Carmel Tobasco Rd. , Cincinnati 45244. Mother of Rachel O'Neal and Jared (Jamie) Prather. Step-mother of Tammy Swope and Jenny Prather. Grandmother of twelve and great-grandmother of three, with one on the way. Sister to Sondra Burns, Sheryl Taylor, C. D. Farris, and Craig Farris. She is also survived by her mother Juanita Farris and numerous nieces and nephews. It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Nila C. McCormick, 86, on Tuesday, November 21, 2023. Nila was born in Independence, Kentucky on November 23, 1936, to the late Leo and Helen (Petty) Miller. She married David L. McCormick on August 24, 1974, and he preceded her in death on February 18, 2009. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Anna Smith and a granddaughter, Mary McCormick. Nila loved flowers and was an avid gardener. She loved walking on the beach and had a large collection of sea shells. She volunteered much of her time with Hospice of Okeechobee. She was a past President of the VFW Ladies Auxillary Post #3205 and a past member of the Eastern Stars. Nila is survived by eight children: Ricky Gray, Robert (Tammy) Gray, Denice Beasley, Darlene (Alvin) Meyer, Gary (Sinthia) Gray, Heather (Rick) Isaacs, Mimi McCormick, and Brian McCormick; two siblings: Myrna Dorman and Donald (Ruby) Miller; 17 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Charles W. Roberts, a resident of New Richmond, passed away on Saturday, November 18, 2023, at the age of 89. He was the husband of the late Mary Roberts. Father of Laura Davis, Lisa Roberts, June Roberts, Paula (Rich) Leonard, and Karen Roberts. Grandfather of Samantha Joyal, Becki Server, Chelsea Horton, Geordan Hodge, Cameron Roberts, Charles Pittman, Katherine Pittman, Pete Pittman, Sophia Kippenbrock, Madeline Bennett, Glen Bennett, and Griffin Bennett. Great-grandfather of Paxton Server, Rhiannon Server, Olivia Day, Hazel Day, and Julien Phelps. He is also survived by his siblings: Jesse (Sylvia) Roberts, Lois Dickerson, and Albert (Gloria) Roberts. Charles was a veteran of the United States Navy earning the rank of AT3. He served during the Korean War aboard the U. S. S. Kula Gulf. Following his time in the Navy, Charles was an insurance salesman in the New Richmond area for 40 years. His family will fondly remember him as a jokester even until his passing. A couple of quotes from Charles: "Better to be a has been, than a never was", "There's nothing to be learned from the second kick of a mule". A memorial gathering will be held at Saltair Church of Christ, on Saturday, December 9, 2023, from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM. Military honors will take place at 3:00 PM followed by a memorial service.
