Patricia Ann MartinEssexville, MichiganMs. Patricia A. Martin passed away peacefully at home February 9, 2024, the daughter of the late Albert and Virginia (Nowicki) Christie. Pat was born April 16, 1945 in Bay City, Michigan. She married Lawrence Martin On June 25, 1966 in St. James Catholic Church and he preceded her in death in March 2008. Pat attended Delta College and worked as a dental assistant before focusing on her family. Most recently, Pat worked at Uptown Girl Boutique in Bay City where she was loved by guests of the store. In her spare time, Pat enjoyed reading, walks and spending time with her family and friends. Pat was an active member of Our Lady of Peace - St. Mary Catholic Church in Bay City.Pat is survived by her son, Patrick Martin; nieces, Laurie (Bernard) Wood, Carrie (Carl) Kevorkian; great nieces, Melissa (Jordan) Weiler, Nichole (Alex) Kravat, and great nephew, Max (Aly) Kevorkian; numerous in laws, cousins, and friends. In addition to her parents, Albert and Virginia Christie, Pat was preceded in death by her sister, Yvonne Voisine.The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 16, 2024 at Our Lady of Peace - St. Mary Church, 607 East South Union, Bay City, Michigan 48706. Father Dale Orlik will preside. Pat's family will gather with friends and neighbors on Friday at the church from 10:00 until the time of Mass at 11:00 a.m. Private family graveside committal will take place immediately following at St. Patrick Cemetery in Bay City, Michigan where she will be laid to rest next to her husband, Lawrence. Larry W. Howell of Reese, age 79, passed away on Sunday, January 21, 2024, at Brian’s House in Essexville. Larry was born January 27, 1944, in Bay City, the son of the late Curtis and Margaret (Murphy) Howell of Fairgrove. On August 18, 1973, he was united in marriage with Cindy Poppy. Larry was a member of St. Michael’s Lutheran Church, Richville, where he served as an usher and elder over the years. He worked in the construction trade for several years before beginning his own business, Howell Contracting, which he ran until his retirement in 2005.Surviving are his wife, Cindy, of fifty years; two sons, Kurt Howell of Fairgrove and Ben (Brittany) Howell of Akron; three grandchildren, Lily, Mae, and Isla; brother, Tim (Kathy) Howell of Fairgrove; several nieces and nephews; and sisters-in-law, Nan (Dave) Kober of Thompsonville and Roxanne (Leo) Ainsworth of Unionville. In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his sister, Carol (Mike) Streeter; and nephews, Josh Ainsworth and Pat Streeter.In keeping with Larry’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, January 24, 2024 at St. Michael’s Lutheran Church in Richville with Rev. Wes Gillaspie officiating. The family will be present to receive visitors from 10:00 a.m. until the time of his service. Lorraine Marie Greenwood born January 18, 1929 in Koolskamp, Belgium to the late Adhemar and Emma (Van deGinste) Naert. She made her journey to America from Belgium alone at 5 years old to be reunited with her parents who came over before her to establish a stable home and farm. Lorraine resided in the Essexville, Bay City area all of her life in America. Lorraine met Donald C. Greenwood at a dance hall doing what she loved, dancing. They dated and then married on May 28, 1949. Together Lorraine and Don had three sons, Donald Greenwood, Ronald (Diane) Greenwood, and Dennis (Mary) Greenwood. Through her 3 children, Lorraine was blessed with 5 grandchildren, Shawn (Nicole) Greenwood, Shannon (Chris) McPhee, Erica Greenwood, Stacey (Jeremy) Jarrett, and Joel (Karolyn) Greenwood. She was also blessed with 13 great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Rylee, Nicholas, Nathan, Jenna, Keagan, Beyonna, Micah, Moriah, Hannah, Jonathan, Nick, and Avery. She also had 2 great-great-grandsons, Jaxson and Ollivor. Lorraine had 3 very special nieces, Marilyn (Pat) McCaughan, Gail (Tim) Henderson, and Vickie (Rick) Abbott. A very special friend of over 80 years, Leona , and special friend Frank. Lorraine was a very caring, loving, and nurturing soul who never met a stranger. She loved to dance and shop, but above all she loved to spend time with her family that she cherished. In addition to her parents, Lorraine was also preceded in death by her brother, Frank, sisters, Myrene and Dolores V. and the love of her life Don. She is welcomed into heaven with them along with several nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends. Lorraine was called home to the Lord on Thursday, January 18, 2024 with her family by her side. Lorraine’s family will be present to receive visitors on Monday, January 22, 2024 from 10:00 AM until Lorraine’s 1:00 PM Life Celebration at Skorupski Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 821 N. Felipe Luna passed away peacefully at the age of 62 at his sister's home surrounded by his loved ones on December 16, 2023, following a lingering illness. Felipe was born to the late Jesus and Angelita Luna on August 30, 1961 in Hart, Michigan. Felipe is survived by his children, Felipe (April) Luna, Sarah Luna (Christian) Farmar, Brandon (Alexis) Luna, Meagan Luna (Jose) Cisneros, Dylan Taylor-Triplett; also his grandchildren, Ricardo, Arianna, Ramio Gonzalez, Emma and Gracie Luna, Ciara and Lylianna Farmar, Jadelynn Kerr-Luna, Mia and Yasmin Cisneros; his great-grandchildren, Nina and Luna Gonzalez, and Juniper Dalton. Felipe is also survived by his siblings, Manuela Arroyo, Mary Lara, Tony (Trish) Luna, Francisca Gomez, Estella Gilmore, John Luna, Julia Kelly, Martin (Mandee) Luna, Mike Luna, and Peter (Karen) Luna, along with numerous nieces and nephews. Our dad Felipe loved the outdoors. He had a love for fishing and hunting, but most of all he loved his family. Felipe had an artistic talent in floral arrangements working for Keit's Greenhouse for many years. He enjoyed cooking and being the life of the party. Felipe had a famous quote when he saw a pretty lady: "Hey mamacita!" You will be missed by everyone, but not forgotten. A special thanks to McLaren Home Hospice Team and his sisters, Mary, Manuela, Francisca, and his nephews, Stephen and Robert for the special care they gave Felipe in his final days. A Celebration of Life will be held at the American Legion Post 18 at 700 Adams St. Bay City, Michigan at 12:30 PM on Thursday December 21, 2023.
