Dog lover and red hatter, Flora A Magaha reunited with her beloved husband, Harry, in Heaven on August 30, 2023, surrounded by family in her Seaford, Delaware home. Born on October 31, 1941, in Baltimore, Maryland, to David Louvier and Ruby Woods Louvier, she married Harry Lee Magaha Jr 60 years ago on June 27th. Together, they cultivated a loving and boisterous family. Flora worked as a secretary while raising her children. She enjoyed shopping, spoiling her grandchildren, playing bridge, and the occasional glass of red wine while reminiscing past adventures with family and friends. Later in life, she preferred to pass time at the VFW listening to music, at home with family, and the Easterseals with friends. A loving sister to Leora Maryland Hammond, Alice Lillian McClain, and Vivian Marchant. Flora is survived by her children, Michael (Tammy) Magaha; Colleen (Leonard) Clower II, and adoring grandchildren, Lauren Magaha engaged to Brian MacDonald, Michael Magaha Jr and partner Erin O'Connor, and Meghan (Mark) Boyd, great grandchildren Shelby and Harvey Ray, several nieces, and her faithful companion Marta. A viewing will be held Monday September 18th from 6 pm to 8 pm at Cranston Funeral Home, 300 N Shipley St, Seaford De. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 19th at 1 pm at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery 26669 Patriots Way Millsboro DE. "Kenneth Eugene Stamm Sr. , age 84, of Seaford, DE passed away peacefully at TidalHealth Nanticoke Hospital on Tuesday, November 28, 2023. He was born on May 26, 1939, in Bethel, PA, son of late Earl I. Stamm and Elsie K. (Bordner) Stamm. A man of many trades, Kenneth was endowed with a tinkerer's ambition and was always swift to solve the handyman problems. Matters of carpentry, electricity, and machinery were common pass time. Whether it was a large addition for the house, or a small shelf for his children, Kenneth's hands were always busy with crafting in the workshop. An avid fisherman and outdoorsman, Kenneth embraced the elements. He camped with his family on a regular basis, and enjoyed fishing in the Delaware Bay, Indian River, and around the Chincoteague Island. Occasionally he hunted close to his mountain home in Bethel, PA. Celebrating 64 years of life together, Kenneth married his wife Loretta on December 19th, 1959. They retired and moved to Seaford, DE 21 years ago. Prior to that, they raised their family in Bethel, PA. Kenneth was an HVAC mechanic at Whitmoyer Lab for 26 years and retired from Hershey Park as an HVAC Mechanic after 14 years. He served 2 years in the United States Navy. In addition to his parents, Kenneth Is preceded by siblings: Lillian V. (Stamm) Webber, of Bethel, PA, Martin E. Stamm, of Bethel, PA, Raymond F. Stamm, of Shartlesville, PA, Richard E. Stamm, of Bethel, PA, Helen G. (Stamm) Noll, of Myerstown, PA; and grandchild Nicole Marie Stamm, of Tampa, FL. Kenneth is survived by his wife, Loretta Joan (Ernfield) Stamm, of Seaford, DE; their children: Kenneth Eugene Stamm Jr. of Tampa, FL, Wanda Ann (Stamm) Bowman, of Lebanon, PA, Kevin Earl Stamm, of Tampa, FL, and Patricia Ann (Stamm) Gerhart, of Myerstown, PA; his sister Shirley Dolores (Stamm) Behney, of Bethel, PA; 6 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. "Cecil Mildred Harrison of Seaford, DE passed away on Monday, December 4, 2023 at Caroline Nursing and Rehab Center in Denton, MD. She was 86. She was born on January 6, 1937 in Elberton, Georgia the daughter of the late Naylor R. Harrison, Sr and Carrie Wells Harrison. She was married to Peter Harrison, Jr. He preceded her in death on August 2, 1977. In addition to raising her children and maintaining her home, she faithfully served the Lord most all of her life. She attended Living Waters Assembly in Denton for many years where she also served in many capacities. In her free time, she enjoyed cooking, knitting, and spending time with her family, children and grandchildren. She is survived by four children: Naylor \u0026quot;Rocky\u0026quot; Harrison and Gina Harrison both of Reliance, Peter Harrison and his wife Charlotte of Denton and Morris Harrison and his wife Charlotte of Kresgeville, PA; ten grandchildren: Christie Harrison, Angel Cooper, Rocky Harrison, Mark Harrison, Peter Harrison, Jr. , Luke Harrison, Matt Harrison, Aaron Harrison, Morris Harrison, Jack Harrison, and Lisa Harrison; a host of great grandchildren; and two sisters: Molly Harrison of Federalsburg and Faye of Chambersburg, PA. In addition to husband and her parents, she was preceded in death by three siblings: Charlotte Harrison, Daisy Stanley and Naylor Harrison. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 9, 2023 at 11:00 at Living Waters Assembly in Denton. Interment will follow at Wicomico Memorial Park in Salisbury. Carroll "Buddy" Eugene Ketterman of Seaford, DE passed away on Wednesday, December 6, 2023. He was born on December 2, 1946, in the small country town of Onego, West Virginia to Marietta Ketterman Simmons and Josiah Ketterman. After graduating from North Hagerstown High School in Hagerstown, MD he pursued a career in the field of plumbing. His skills and interest for precision allowed him to earn his license as a Master Plumber and own his own business, Ketterman's Plumbing. Buddy took a great deal of pride in his work and gained a respected reputation in the construction industry. If you ever had a question regarding hunting or fishing Buddy was your resource. When he had free time, he was either getting ready to go hunting or fishing or he was hunting or fishing. His love for the outdoors allowed him to feel as comfortable in a deer stand as in a trout stream. This interest in nature was shared with his sons, Joe, and Brett. Buddy was very proud of his West Virginia heritage and could be found organizing his day around West Virginia Mountaineer games. He was equally as proud of his family and his favorite role was that of a granddad. Buddy was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Patty Jones of Richmond, VA, and Mary Jo Ferruzza of Chicago, IL. He is survived by a sister, Pamela Ketterman-Stevens and husband David of Hagerstown, MD, and brother, Willie Simmons Jr. and wife Lesley of Mechanicsville, VA; son, Joe Ketterman and fiancee Holly Noel of Seaford, DE, and daughters, Kelsey Ketterman of Washington, DC and Baylee Ketterman of Seaford, DE; son, Brett Ketterman, wife, Jennifer and children Bethany and Jesse of Seaford, DE. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Barbara Norris Allen passed away peacefully at home on December 3, 2023, with her loving husband and friends surrounding her. Barbara was a valiant warrior in her 7-year battle with ovarian cancer. Barb was born on August 6, 1950, in St Johnsbury, VT to John and Frances Knight Norris of Lyndonville, VT. She later moved to Bridgeville, DE where she graduated from high school. She was a graduate of Salisbury University with a BS and started toward her Masters degree in Education and later taught in the Woodbridge school district until her marriage to Charles C. Allen III. Barbara was a woman of many talents and always had a keen and penetrating sense of humor. She was the chairperson of the committee to build the Seaford District Library and also worked on the Heart Ball. Barbara was a member of PEO, Chapter J and served as state president. She was a past board member of Seaford Golf and Country Club and a patron of the Seaford Historical Society. She loved reading and was a member of the Bacon, Books and Babble Book Club. She loved traveling and saw many parts of the world. Many of these trips were in support of her husband's involvement and leadership in the poultry industry. From 2002 - 2014 Barbara was the president of Dairy Association Co. , makers of Bag Balm, in Lyndonville, VT. The company was founded by her grandfather in 1899. Barbara had a deep commitment to philanthropy and was very sensitive to community needs in Seaford, St. Johnsbury and the Lyndonville area of Vermont. Barbara enjoyed time at their home on Lake Willoughby in Vermont, enjoying the different seasons, but she most enjoyed her role of "Gram" to their four grandchildren. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Charles C. Allen III (Chick) and sons Chad, wife Jami and their daughters Emily and Kelsey; Michael, wife Emily and their children Dalton and Emmy Ros; and so many dear friends. A deep level of appreciation goes to the doctors, nurses and staff at TidalHealth Nanticoke and to VITAS Healthcare for the loving and professional care she received during her difficult journey. "Ruby S. Palmer, age 89 of Monroe, formerly of Seaford, Delaware, passed away Friday, November 24, 2023 at ProMedica Monroe Regional Hospital with her loved ones at her side. Born April 13, 1934 in Eufaula, Alabama, Ruby was the daughter of the late Shep and Inell (Vickers) Irby. On August 28, 1955, she married John C. Palmer in Monroe. He preceded her in passing on December 1, 2013. Ruby was employed for over 42 years by the Seaford School District in Delaware. As a paraprofessional, she wore many hats and served in many capacities, always keeping the best interests of the children in mind. She returned to Monroe approximately four years ago to be near family. Ruby was an active member of the John Wesley Methodist Church in Seaford and attended Second Missionary Baptist Church in Monroe. She was also a member of the Frenchtown Senior Center. Ruby was passionate about being of service to others and giving back to the community. She attended city council meetings in Seaford and volunteered as a bus driver for many years, delivering food to families where needed. Ruby was an overall sports enthusiast and mostly enjoyed watching basketball. She herself was naturally athletic and played city league sports. She was often sought after when players were needed for basketball, softball or volleyball, even into her mid-forties. Ruby also enjoyed going for motorcycle rides with her son-in-law. Ruby is survived by three children, Carolyn (Patrick) McAllister of Monroe, John (Linda) Palmer of Toledo, and Thakery (Kia Burke) Palmer of Seaford, DE; 8 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, Ruby was preceded in death by a son, Clinton Palmer of Seaford; brother, Roger Irby; sisters, Daisy Irby and Allie Irby Bacon; nephews, Patrick and Myron Irby; and niece, Joy Bacon, all of New York. "Dennis Paul Simpson, age 75 of Blades, DE (formerly of Laurel), passed away on Wednesday September 13, 2023, at the Delaware Hospice Center in Milford following a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on December 17, 1947, in Milford Hospital, son of Mrs. Beulah (Jester) Simpson and the late Paul Simpson of Harrington, DE. Mr. Simpson graduated from Harrington High School, class of 1965. He furthered his education at Delaware Technical Community College, earning his associate degree in science in Architectural Design. Mr. Simpson was a man of faith and a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Seaford, DE. He was employed by DuPont (Seaford), then answered the call to serve his country by enlisting in the US Navy in 1967. Mr. Simpson served as radarman onboard the USS Guadalcanal (LPH-7). Following his honorable discharge, he returned to DuPont where he worked a total of 36 dedicated years ending his career with the Information Technology division. Following retirement in 2002, Mr. Simpson continued working with IT positions including ownership of Lap-Top Rescue. Never one to stay idle, Mr. Simpson was active in his community and was honored to assist Veterans with needs and served as a volunteer driver taking them to various medical and legal appointments. He was a member of the American Legion, including Post 24 of Dagsboro, DE, and proudly participated with Wreathes Across America placing wreathes on graves and encouraging others to purchase wreathes and join the annual wreath placing event. Mr. Simpson was an avid fan of both the Baltimore Orioles and Ravens. His many hobbies included reading and traveling. He also enjoyed woodworking and made many pieces of furniture for family members. Mr. Simpson was proud to participate with the preservation project of Historic Wheatley Methodist Church (Galestown, MD). Spending time with friends and family was what he cherished above all. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, stepfather, and grandfather. Mr. Simpson will be dearly missed and forever loved by all the lives he touched. In addition to his father, Mr. Simpson was predeceased by wife and mother of his children, Kathleen Marie McWeeney Simpson, a very special aunt \u0026amp; uncle Larry and Mary Ellen Grinolds, and a nephew Gary Simpson, Jr. all of Harrington, DE.
