Jeremy Courtney

Jeremy Courtney

Age - 33

November 6, 2023

Jeremy E. Courtney, age 33, of Hollidaysburg, passed away on Saturday, October 28, 2023. A loving husband to Ashley (Vinglas) Courtney, but above all, a proud and adoring father to their daughter, Riley, whom his love truly knew no limit for. He was a source of strength, love, and unwavering support to his family, and his love for them was evident in every moment they shared together. In addition to his wife and daughter, Jeremy is survived by his brother, Ted Buckley; sister, Jessica (Courtney) Bell and her husband, Jim; sister Katrina (Courtney) Haller; his loving nieces and nephews: Jaxon, Caitlin, Isabella, Eliana, Mila, Shanna, Patriot, Ethan, and Eva; and many cousins and close friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia Hayes; and grandfather, Carleton Campbell. Jeremy had a passion for the great outdoors and a special love for camping and fishing, especially when he could do so with his pride and joy, Riley, by his side. Riley and Jeremy shared a bond that transcended the ordinary, and their adventures were filled with laughter, love, and unforgettable moments. Football was another addition to Jeremy's zest for life. He loved the thrill of game day, whether it was cheering on his favorite team ("let's go Buff-a-lo!"), playing Madden on his PlayStation, or crafting his elite fantasy football team, his enthusiasm was infectious, and he never missed an opportunity to enjoy the sport that he loved. He also cherished his prized possession, his truck, which represented his spirit of adventure and independence. Professionally, Jeremy found fulfillment and purpose in a successful leadership and management career. He worked as a New Store Coordinator and then District Manager for a large franchisee of Taco Bell, traveling across the country to assist in permitting, hiring, and training for newly opening stores. Later, he was the General Manager of Lakemont Park in Altoona. He took immense pride in helping others start their careers and watching them flourish; a testament to his nurturing and caring nature. Jeremy was a remarkable friend, always ready to lend a hand or offer a kind word of advice. His memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be dearly missed but never forgotten for his selflessness and devotion to his family. A celebration of life service will be held at 11am on November 11, 2023 at Spring of Hope Community Church in Altoona, where friends and family will gather to honor his memory, share stories, and find solace in each other's company. In lieu of flowers, and in recognition of his deep love for his daughter, Riley, the family kindly requests that contributions be made to support Riley's education. Donations can be sent directly to Penn-Mont Academy in Hollidaysburg. Rest in peace, and may you find eternal peace and happiness, just as you brought joy to us all here on Earth.Show more
