On February 17, 2024, she was preceded in death by her husband of 32 years, Kenneth Swaim.Survivors include daughter, Belinda Stevenson; son, Steve Stevenson; grandchildren, Lindsay Blackwell (Richmond), Emily Earle (Brian), and Payne Stevenson (Sherayah); six great-grandchildren; niece, Sandra Armstrong; and nephew, Wesley Cleveland.Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Monday, February 26 at Laughlin Service Funeral Home.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the University of Alabama Alumni Fund.

Donald Sublett, 88, was born on December 22, 1935 and passed away on February 23, 2024. He was preceded in death by his wife, Inez Sublett; parents, Alvie Lee and Eunice Jean Sublett; and his brother-in-law, Dennis Allen Bragg. He is survived by his daughter, Tasia Ann Sublett; son, Lee Carl Sublett; daughter-in-law, Deana Sublett; sister, Barbara Bragg; niece, Jeannie Bragg Harvey; and nephew, Dennis Lee Bragg. He is also survived by his granddaughter, Kennedy Ann Sublett and his grandson, Matthew McAllister. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Susie McCullough, and his family is comforted knowing David and Susie will now be together again. David’s life was filled with love, and he made everyone he met feel like a cherished friend. Music was his passion. He was a fixture of the Huntsville music scene, where his performances with his trusted band-mates over the years in groups such as Senseless, Black Label, Blood River, and Rival earned him the enduring love and support of so many who connected with their songs.David is preceded in death by his loving wife, Susie, his father, William Sr, and his brother, William Jr. David is survived by his mother, Suzanne Ridge Dixon, His siblings Lori (Brant), Melissa, Mason, and Janet, along with many nieces, nephews and Friends who will carry his music and infectious kindness in their hearts.
