It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Fay Anita Robinson on April 20, 2023, at the age of 86. Fay lived a full and adventurous life. She honored her commitments to family, friends, and work, and her can-do spirit will continue to live in the hearts of those who knew her. She was born on January 15, 1937, in Wilkes-Barre, PA and moved to Wood-Ridge, NJ in the 3rd grade. She and her husband, David W. Robinson were in the same grade at the same schools from third grade through high school graduation. Fay married Dave after graduating from nursing school. Fay started her career in nursing back when nurses had to wear dresses and caps. She was quickly promoted to Head Nurse on her floor at Hackensack Hospital only 1 year after graduation. After taking time off to raise her children, she was Director of nursing for a Massachusetts nursing home. After moving to Syracuse, NY she worked for a hospital as a Discharge Planner. As a retiree, she volunteered for 15 years at Jennersville Hospital Fay and Dave were known for their signature number of three: 3-kisses, 3 daughters, 3 dachshunds all named Crusoe. The three kisses were their signature greeting each morning and evening throughout their 63 years of marriage. When Dave's job offered international assignments, Fay enthusiastically packed up the household and moved her 5, 3, and 1 year old daughters, raising them in Australia, Italy, Brazil, and Venezuela. She, Dave, and the girls went on many adventures together from exploring glaciers in New Zealand, to enjoying the beaches in Fiji and Tahiti, to visiting Machu Pichu, and to spending way-too-much time (according to the girls) at Pompeii. The family experienced a lifetime of amazing vacations together. Fay's family meant the world to her, and she cherished every moment she spent with them. She is survived by her husband David, and by her 3 daughters: Ruth, Lorraine, and Priscilla, her 8 grandchildren: Jeff, Becky, Ryan, Nicole, Caity, Mandy, Miles, and Ailey, and her 2 great-grandsons: Ryder and Carter. She will be deeply missed, and her family will take a moment to remember her whenever they see a swan. The family will have a small memorial gathering at the , 15 Athelone Way, Avondale, PA on Saturday, April 22, 2023 from 2-4pm. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to your favorite charity.
