"Dorothy Lucy Mocyzgemba Beamsley entered into eternal rest Thursday, December 7, 2023, at South Texas Health System in McAllen, TX after a lengthy illness. Dorothy was 86 years old and had lived in the McCook-Edinburg-McAllen area all of her life and was married to her husband Ronald Norman Beamsley for 55 years. She attended school at Edinburg High School and graduated in 1955. She was a secretary with the same organization for 40\u0026#43; years. She enjoyed sewing of all types, yard work, volunteering at the local hospitals and, most importantly, her grandchildren. Dorothy never missed an opportunity to attend functions in which they participated. When her children became old enough to join the 4-H and FFA programs, Dorothy became an active leader and/or supporter and enjoyed all aspects and activities of these programs. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Norman Beamsley; parents, Alois J. and Regina Ann Mocyzgemba; brother, Daniel and sister, Helen Titzman. She is survived by her children, Deborah and her husband, Harry Grmela, of Gatesville, TX; son, Rodney, of McAllen, TX; and son, Russell and his wife, Kim, of Stephenville, TX. Also surviving are her six grandchildren, Rebekah Grmela and husband, Ben Cardenas, of State College, PA; Rachel Grmela of Gatesville, TX; and Rhonda McLeod and husband, Sean, of Dallas, TX; Kamaryn, Dylan and Justin Beamsley of Stephenville, TX; and one great-grandson, Amos Cardenas-Grmela. She is also survived by her sisters, Jean Niemietz (Kerrville, TX), Geraldine Wilder (Portland, TX), Mary Ann Watson (Sugarland, TX), Bernice (Rick) Dube (Marble Falls, TX), Margaret (Vic) Gambill (Liberty, TX) and Martha (Robert) Garcia (Edinburg, TX). Dorothy was a member of the People\u0027s Covenant Church of San Juan and St. Mark UMC of McAllen. Visitation will be Sunday with family present from 6:00-8:00 p. m. at Kreidler Funeral Home in McAllen, TX. Funeral services will be Monday at 10:00 a. m. at St. Mark UMC, McAllen, TX followed by burial at Roselawn Cemetery in McAllen, TX. Edinburg ~ Fernando Mendoza, known for his humor, kindness, and courage, passed away on November 29, 2023, in McAllen, Texas, following a battle with illness. Born on May 4, 1969, in Mexico, Fernando's faith in God and humor touched all who knew him throughout his 54 years of life. Fernando attended the University of Texas, Pan-American, where he pursued his higher education. His commitment to service was unwavering, as exemplified by his distinguished career in the US Army. Fernando honorably served his country through three consecutive tours in Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom, earning the respect and admiration of his peers and commanders. He was known by loved ones as someone who always spread joy with his caring and playful spirit. He loved his three children dearly and felt such pride in being their father. He treasured his family with all of his heart and cherished every relationship. His kindness and generosity, a trait that drew people to him, was evident in every interaction and in his selfless actions. He was always willing to help those who needed it. Fernando's legacy is not only one of service and valor but also of the joy and love he shared freely with others. His memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him. Fernando Mendoza's life was a testament to love and the grace of God. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten. He is survived by his children: Meagan Nicole Mendoza, Nicholas Brendon Mendoza and Eliezer Abdiel Murillo Ruiz; his father: Santiago Mendoza; his siblings: Veronica Moreno, Javier Mendoza, Alma Flores, Americo Mendoza, Jose Luis Mendoza, Santiago Mendoza Jr and Fabian Mendoza. "Sally Pearson of McAllen, Texas (formerly of Windom, Minnesota), passed away peacefully at the age of 82 on Wednesday, November 22nd at The Gardens at Brook Ridge in Pharr, TX. Sally was born in Minnesota to Merrill and Dora Smith, the 5th child of the seven. In 1961 she married the love of her life Cedric (Swede) Pearson and resided in Windom until 1982. Then they moved to McAllen, where Sally found a job she loved, working for Dr. M. K. Razdan until her retirement. Sally is survived by her daughter Janeen Pearson (Steve), son James Pearson (Cindy), six loving grandchildren, Anthony, Alyssa, Aaron, Alex, Lauren, and Thomas, one great grandchild Jalen, her sister Darlene St. John and many nieces, nephews, and extended family. Sally was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend to all. Sally was a fun loving, spiritual woman who loved the Lord, enjoyed family time, singing in the church choir at Calvary Baptist Church, playing cards with friends and family and enjoyed breakfast at the Country Omelet. She brightened up the room with her style, cute remarks, and a funny wit. She was preceded in death by both her parents, husband Swede, sisters: Marion, Evie, and brothers: Leland, Larry, and Lenny. "In Loving Memory of Edward Joseph Banatoski Jr. Edward Joseph Banatoski Jr. , age 80, passed away on November 27th, 2023, at 8:05pm at his home in McAllen, Texas surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on January 23rd, 1943, in Bristol, Connecticut, to Edward Joseph Banatoski Sr. and Sophie (Krajewski) Banatoski, who preceded him in death. Edward is survived by his loving wife, Conchita Banatoski, and his cherished children: Stephen Edward Banatoski, Andrew Robert Banatoski, Karen Lozano, and Rafael Lozano. He leaves behind a legacy of love and warmth that extends to his grandchildren: Sarah Banatoski, Ian Banatoski, James Banatoski, Jorge Vidal, Pablo Vidal, Jack Banatoski, and Sophie Banatoski. He also leaves behind his dear sister, Phyllis Banatoski. He obtained his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Connecticut in 1966. His pursuit of knowledge continued as he earned his Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Connecticut, with requirements completed in 1968 and awarded in 1972. Later, he achieved the pinnacle of academic success by earning his Doctor of Philosophy in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas Arlington in 2000. He continued with his post-doctoral research at the University of Texas Arlington in 2001, where he focused on the Monte Carlo simulation of a pHEMT. Edward furthered his expertise through additional coursework in Quantum Field Theory and Numerical Methods in Mathematical Physics. In 2002, Edward accepted a position as a lecturer in the Department of Electrical Engineering at the University of Texas Pan American. Throughout his tenure, he made significant contributions to the field of semiconductor device measurement and simulation, particularly in time domain microwave semiconductor device characterization. His dedication to advancing technology extended to his role as the co-principal investigator for the utilization of microwave time domain measurement equipment under an NSF grant proposal titled MRI: Acquisition of Ultra-Wide-Band Measurement and Modeling Facilities for Multidisciplinary in 2004. A passionate educator, Edward taught a variety of courses at UTPA, including Electrical Circuits I, Solid State Electron Devices, Electrical Engineering Laboratory I, Semiconductor Devices, Electrical Circuits II, Digital Design II, Senior Design I \u0026amp; II and served as a Graduate Independent Study Supervisor. He also took on the role of advisor for the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). Edward\u0027s unwavering dedication extended beyond his academic pursuits; he devoted all his time and efforts to the noble art of teaching and advising, leaving an indelible mark on the lives of his students and colleagues alike. Edward received several awards for his outstanding contributions, including the Lockheed Martin Outstanding Faculty Award in the Electrical Engineering Section and the Outstanding Service Award from the IEEE student branch. He was also a proud member of the engineering honor society Tau Beta Pi. Edward\u0027s hobbies included running, reading books in the field of quantum mechanics, and building train models. Beyond his professional achievements, these interests reflected his multifaceted personality and his love for both intellectual pursuits and creative endeavors.
