Evelyn Elaine Rikard was born in Kempton, Indiana on July 25, 1941 to William and Lois Irene (Hammack) Riddle. She passed away in Elk City, Oklahoma on June 18, 2022 at the age of 80 years, 10 months and 24 days. Elaine graduated from Jefferson Township High School in 1959 and attended a year of business school after that. She married her love, Bob Rikard on December 27, 1959 in Kempton, Indiana and they made their home there until 1970 when they moved to Hardy, Arkansas where their daughter, April was born. Elaine worked 10 years at a company in Kokoma, Indiana. She and April later moved to Oklahoma where they have remained. Elaine is a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church where she was very active in her faith. She worked for Hodges Trucking and Farmrail. She also worked many years at the Community Hospital. She then found her work home with Dr. Krompecher where she worked for 24 years. She also worked at Wal-Mart for 27 years until her health forced her to retire. During this time she also worked at Northeast Elementary School as a crossing guard for 10 years. She was also a caregiver for DHS. Elaine knew work ethic and was an example of that throughout her life. She was a woman of many talents. She barrel raced and goat tied during her rodeo years. She drove a semi alongside her husband, Bob. She was a member of the Western Swing Square Dance Club for 15 years. She loved playing the piano and played for her church for many years. She loved to sew and made a lot of her and April's clothes through the years. She enjoyed her plants and loved having a beautiful flower bed. Elaine loved music and played the clarinet in band when she was in school and was very proud her grandchildren went on to be in band in school. Elaine was awarded the John Phillip Sousa award in school and was very proud to have her granddaughter follow suit. She was adventurous and loved to have fun with her family and friends. She loved the Lord and looked forward to His return. Elaine was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Irene Riddle, and her brother, Butch Riddle. She is survived by her daughter, April Parker and husband, Bret, Elk City, Oklahoma, grandchildren, Ashleigh Gill and Rudy Gill, Elk City, Oklahoma, Peyton Preston and husband, Robby, Elk City, Oklahoma, Lexy Parker, Edmond, Oklahoma, and one great grandson, Trapper, her sister-in-law, Diane Riddle, great nieces, Katelyn and Abbie Riddle and a host of other relatives and friends.
