Evelyn Colliver Obituary

Evelyn Johnson Colliver was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister during her incredible 92 years of life. She was born in Montgomery County, Kentucky on December 16, 1930, and passed away peacefully on April 24, 2023. Mrs. Colliver was a 1949 graduate of Mt. Sterling High School and a devoted member of Living Water Church in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky. Mrs. Colliver loved God and she loved her family. Mrs. Colliver was the last living sibling of 9 children born to Issac and Mittie Johnson. Mrs. Colliver was the proud wife of the deceased Kenneth Henry (Red) Colliver. She is survived by 5 children: Perry (Linda), Joyce, Bradley, Cecil (Amanda), and Michael (Sherrie) Colliver. She is survived by her beloved sister-in-law of 69 years, Mildred Spencer Colliver, and was cared for by her dear friend and caretaker, Cheryl Hunt. Mrs. Colliver is survived by 10 grandchildren who she loved dearly: Gina (Jeff) DeBruler, Dede (Daniel) Carmichael, Toni Davis, Shawna (Jason) Tipton, Lyndsey (Anthony) Hunt, Taylor (Katherine) Colliver, Hannah (Michael) Stokes, Brooke (Jeffrey) Johns, Olivia (Evander) Harris, and Isaac (Courtney) Colliver. She is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren who she treasured: Summer (Bradley) Taylor-Combs, J. D. Taylor, Colton DeBruler, Sydney DeBruler, Bayleigh Tipton, Caden Carmichael, Anna-Grace Colliver, Isabella Colliver, Elijah Colliver, Evelyn-Joy Colliver, and Oliver Harris. The family will miss her dearly, and are so grateful for the time they had with her. The family will always feel her presence in our hearts. Her funeral will be 11:00 a. m. Thursday, April 27, 2023 at Herald & Stewart Home for Funerals, Pastor Grant Canoy presiding with burial to follow in Machpelah Cemetery. Visitation will take place from 5:00 p. m. to 8:00 p. m. Wednesday, April 26, 2023 at the funeral home. Arrangements are placed in the care of Herald & Stewart Home for Funerals.
