RELMINA DUDLEY is the first child in line of four siblings, born on May 22, 1935, in Bocas Del Toro, Panama to Victoria Downer and Bulgario Mitchel. She completed her studies in Panama City, Panama. She was married to Deacon Roy A. Dudley for approximately 60 loving years. Relmina had four children who she loved unconditionally: Rogelio, Virgilio, Carlos and Guillermo. She had a total of 19+ grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Relmina migrated to the United States in 1963 where she worked tirelessly to unite her family in the United States on August 11, 1966. Relmina Dudley and family moved to Cambria Heights, Queens, NY in 1970 and became members of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She worked as an assistant teacher at Enrico Fermi Junior High School 111 for numerous years. Her career abruptly ended after a serious motor vehicle accident. Relmina enjoyed dancing, watching sports and was an excellent seamstress. Her favorite sports teams were the New York Mets and the New York Islanders. She knew nothing about hockey, but she had a favorite team nonetheless. Relmina would not allow her husband nor any other family member to watch the New York Yankees, as that was strictly forbidden in her household. Relmina Dudley passed away on November 9, 2023, at approximately 2:20am EST. She departed from us only thinking of her family and the belief that she would be reunited with her beloved husband, Deacon Roy Dudley, and other family members who have preceded her in death. Although no longer physically here with us, Relmina will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, Godmother and friend. Ti Kat, Kakle, Manman Kakle, as she was called by her family, was a fun-loving woman who could make a friend with just one conversation. Kathleen loved people and loved her family even more. Kathleen was born in Haiti on December 20, 1957, to parents Earta and Nerva Auguste. Kathleen immigrated to the United States in 1972 and attended Erasmus Hall High School. With a desire to help others, Kathleen pursued a nursing degree before switching to a career in finance. Kathleen worked at JP Morgan Chase for 19 years, eventually becoming the Senior Operations Coordinator. After departing JP Morgan Chase, Kathleen decided to pursue higher education - she attended Nassau Community College, graduating with an Associate of Arts, and Adelphi University, graduating with a Bachelor of Science. Kathleen enjoyed dancing, laughing, and telling a good story. She had a fierce love for her family; she would do anything to protect them and those she loved. Kathleen was a caregiver to her mother, a teacher to her grandson, a supporter to her children, and a confidant to her friends. Kathleen was a strong woman who loved life and lived for her family. Kathleen is survived by her mother, Earta, her three sons, Vladimir, Kirk, and Kirby, and her grandson, Kyrie. He was born on June 6, 1936, in Gonaives, Haiti. Sylvain was a kind, generous, and loving individual who took great pride in his role as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Sylvain is survived by his beloved wife, Suzanne Denis, and his children Marie Myrtho (Micheal) Denis Brudent, Frantz (Alexandra) Denis, and Patrick (Judith) Denis. Theodore departed this world on October 3, 2023, at the age of 82, in his hometown of 30 years in Elmont, New York. Born on October 22, 1940, in the vibrant community of Harlem, New York, Theodore's life journey was marked by love for his family and a pillar of strength. Known by his children for his No Pain, No Gain attitude, dedication, and unwavering spirit. He will forever be remembered as a pillar of strength and a beacon of goodness. Throughout his fruitful life, Theodore accomplished remarkable feats. He was a skilled electrician, employing his expertise in various projects, and the proud owner of Rhodes Electronics, a reputable security system company. His meticulous work and unwavering commitment earned him the esteemed position of Chief Engineer at the Grand Hyatt Hotel, where he left an indelible mark on the property and the countless lives he touched. Teddy Sr. Retired from the Grand Hyatt Hotel in 1996 to take care of his wife Dana Rhodes. A man of deep faith, Theodore found solace and fellowship at Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church. His devotion to his religion upheld his spirit and guided his path, inspiring all everyone he touched. Beyond his professional pursuits he possessed a true zest for life. In his leisure time, he found joy in immersing himself in foreign films, savoring the captivating tales they told. His soul resonated with the enchanting melodies of jazz music, which soothed his heart, soul and transported him to another realm. Teddy Sr. also had a passion for computers, constantly expanding his knowledge and finding joy in the world of technology. Theodore's legacy lives on through his beloved children: Vonetta Rhodes, Vonda Rhodes, Michelle Rowe, and Theodore Teddy Rhodes Jr. and grandchildren Empress, Justin, Jordan, Tristan, Amari, Oni, Mia and Issac. He also leaves behind his dear brother, Albert MacDowell. He was preceded in death by his devoted wife, Dana Rhodes, his loving father, Theodore B. Rhodes, his caring mother, Lillian MacDowell, and his adored sister, Joy MacDowell. Teddy Sr. also leaves behind aunts, uncles, and cousins. Susan Gass-Kohtz, 67, cherished mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully on October 19th, 2023, after a courageous battle with cancer. Sue was born in Huntington, NY, on November 21, 1955, and grew up in Lawrence, NY. After graduating from Lawrence High School, she earned her bachelor's degree from Hofstra University. She went on to become a successful entrepreneur, founding and running a home mortgage company in Roslyn, NY, from 1989 through 2008. Later, she began a new chapter as a financial advisor, serving local clients up until her death. She genuinely loved her work; it centered on connecting with people, building relationships and helping others secure their futures. Sue could only be described as a people person, which not only shaped her career but also defined her view of the world as a place to make as many personal connections as time would allow. She truly enjoyed learning about the people she engaged with and building many long-standing friendships. She brought this passion and dedication everywhere she went and never stopped wanting to experience life, whether that meant moving to a new state or traveling to meet new people and discover interesting places. Sue greatly enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She had a passion for hosting parties, and firmly believed "the more the merrier. " She never needed an excuse to gather with those she loved. Sue is survived by her children, Phil Gass (Anna), Ryan Gass (Melissa), and Morgen Kohtz, along with her grandchildren: Alessandra, Veronica, Dante, Owen, and Adeline.
