Eugene W. Kriescher, age 88, of rural Kewaunee, passed away Monday, December 26, 2022 at Froedtert Holy Family Medical Center, Manitowoc. Eugene was born on September 16, 1934 in Lena, son of the late Andrew and Lucille (Kershek) Kriescher. He grew up in rural Kewaunee County, and was a 1952 graduate of Kewaunee High School. Following high school, Eugene served in the United States Army for two years. On May 9, 1964, Eugene was married to Judy Bialek at St. Paul Catholic Church in Manitowoc. He attended trade school to become a welder and worked for the Plumbers and Steamfitters Union, retiring at the age of 65. He enjoyed hunting, gardening, camping, bird watching, and playing volleyball into his 70s. Survivors include one son: Timothy Kriescher, Kewaunee; one daughter: Tammy Kriescher, Buck Lake, Alberta, Canada, and her significant other Terry Lemiski; two sisters-in-law: Janet Kriescher, Two Rivers; Jackie Kriescher, Green Bay; special friend and caregiver: Sherry Rollin, Green Bay; and the faithful family dog, Tucker. Eugene is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Andrew and Lucille Kriescher; his wife, Judy Kriescher; two brothers and one sister-in-law: Don (Carol) Kriescher, Elton Kriescher; and one sister and brother-in-law: Beatrice (Wencil) Konop.
