Saginaw, Michigan "Come to me all who are weary and burdened and I will give you rest." With her family at her side, our mom, grandma, great-grandma and great-great-grandma went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus on Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at the age of 93 years. Ethel was born on January 14, 1926 to Clarence and Isabel (Granger) Ray. She married Gilbert Harris on February 22, 1947 and celebrated 65 years of marriage before his passing on March 5, 2012. Ethel enjoyed her family and the many activities at Great Lakes Rehabilitation. She was a charter member of Messiah Lutheran Church in Carrollton and was an active member of Women's Life Society for many years. Ethel is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Gloria and Lee Hubbell, Hemlock; a daughter-in-law, Brenda Harris, AuGres; eight grandchildren, Nicole Thompson, Warren Gallagher, Matthew Harris, Sara Harris, Stephanie Noah, Lindsay Shemanski, Shannon Fryer and Joshua Hubbell; 22 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; special friend, Denise. Ethel was predeceased by her children, Claudene Borrousch, Connie Gallagher and Gilbert Harris, Jr. Funeral Service will take place at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, April 29, 2019 at Messiah Lutheran Church, 4640 N. Michigan Ave. Pastor Phillip DeVries will officiate. Private burial will take place in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. There will be no visiting hours at the funeral home. Friends may visit at Messiah Lutheran Church where the family will be present on Sunday from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. and on Monday from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Messiah Lutheran Church or Great Lakes Rehab Activities Department.
