Ethel Louise Cahoon 93 yrs old passed away peacefully on June 17, 2022 after having had a "Wonderful Life" with her daughters by her bedside. She is Predeceased by her brothers James, Robert & William Phillips & sister Ella Sherman. Survived by sisters, Ruth Mercurio & Helen Carney. She is also survived by her children William H. Cahoon, Nancy Rose and Leanne Cahoon and her Grandchildren Chrystal Matney, Kimberly Wilson, Joshua Rose, Rusty Coburn lll, Courtney Coburn, Christopher Coburn and her 14 Great-grandchildren whom she loved. Ethel was born December 21, 1928 in Pawtucket Rhode Island. She grew up in Pascoag, Rhode Island with her 6 brothers and sisters. She became a Teacher after finishing Teachers college at the age of 22. She taught in many school systems throughout the country and Puerto Rico. She was the proudest for teaching kindergarten and first graders mostly. She said she felt like if she gave them a foundation and made school fun that they would grow to love school going forward. She retired at 65 but just couldn't quit completely, continuing to substitute teach until she was 76yrs old. She loved to sew and quilt and make Raggedy Ann and Andy dolls when she wasn't working. She was a faithful Christian woman and when she couldn't go to church near the end, she continued to watch services on Facebook of a church she went to as a child. She prayed continuously for everyone she knew and loved The Lord and his Word. There is a special place heaven for this woman. In lieu of flowers you could donate to a local school of your choice.
