Estella Gonzales Obituary

Estella P Gonzales, age 78, of Gregory, Texas passed away on Sunday, April 23, 2023. She was born on August 27, 1944 to Arturo and Francisca Pena in Rio Grande, TX. Estella was raised in Taft, Texas. Estella Was a very kind and loving mother and grandmother. She took on the task of helping raise several of her grandchildren and was kind, generous, compassionate and kept her entire family balanced. Estella was witty, and had a great sense of humor. She loved her entire family despite their individual quirks and personalities. She supported them, rooted for them, at times was challenged by them, but always kept on loving them. Estella will always be remembered for her eagerness to help others, her caring heart and love for her family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Arturo and Francisca Pena and her husband of 57 years, Israel Gonzales, Sr. , son-in-law Alex Aguirre, Sr. Estella is survived by her children: Patsy (Tom) Lafferty, Terry Gonzales (Georgia Molina), Israel Gonzales, Jr. , Peggy Aguirre, and Tammy Gonzales. Grandchildren: Nathan Rios, Rey Garcia, Holden Rios, Brandon Gonzales, Kevin Gonzales, Alex Aguirre, Jr. , Patrick Lafferty, and Randy Garcia. Visitation will be on Sunday, April 30, 2023 from 5:00 p. m. until 9:00 p. m. with Rosary at 7:00 p. m. at Funeraria Del Angel Everhart Chapel, 4901 Everhart Road, Corpus Christi, TX 78411. Funeral Mass is at 10:00 a. m. on Monday, May 1, 2023 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 302 Church Street, Gregory, TX followed by Interment at 11:30 a. m. at The Palms Memorial Park Cemetery, 4335 Midway Road, Portland, TX 78374.
