Ernesto Garcia Obituary

Ernesto Garcia, age 74, of Brownsville, Texas passed away on Monday, April 17, 2023. He was born in Brownsville, Texas and graduated from Brownsville High School. Immediately he volunteered to serve in the Marines during the Vietnam War. He received two purple hearts one with a star and another with the gold star for wounds received in the war. He also received the Bronze and Silver awards. When he came home, he was a diagnosed with PTSD. He loved to play the guitar, was very generous and lived life to the fullest. He will be sorely missed. Ernesto is survived by his sister Rosa Garcia Sanchez; his nephew Jose Eduardo Sanchez and his niece Rosanna Sanchez Castillo. He is also survived by many cousins, second cousins and second nephews. Ernesto was preceded in death by his father Alfredo Garcia + and his mother Trinidad A. De Garcia +; his sister Raquel Garcia +; his brother Alfredo Garcia Jr. +; his sister Estefana Garcia + and his sister Guadalupe Garcia +. An entombment for Ernesto will be held Monday, April 24, 2023 at 3:00 PM in the Mausoleum at Buena Vista Burial Park, 5 Mcdavitt Blvd, Brownsville, Texas 78521. Serving as pallbearers are Jesus Eduardo Sanchez, Jaime Rodriguez and Raynel Juan Castillo Sr. .
