Ernestine Anna Brown's story began on July 25, 1937 in Prospect, VA. Ernestine, also known as Ernie, was born to the late Roy and Nannie Brown. She was the youngest of 7 girls and one boy. Ernestine enjoyed her bragging rights as the baby, and adored her older sisters and brother. Louise Wilson (nee Costello) "Poochie", age 71, of Philadelphia, passed away after a long illness on February 15, 2024. A Proud military mom, Poochie was always happiest when she was surrounded by her family and friends. She always looked forward to family gatherings. Poker nights were a weekly occurrence. She loved to celebrate the holidays and Christmas eve at her house was a highlight of her year. Louise also enjoyed spending time with her cousins throughout the year. Poochie treasured the summers at the Pine Haven Campground. Her days were spent with her feet in the sand at the beach or by the pool with a cocktail with her "Camping Cousins" She was a mom to everyone she met and was always available to friends in need. Cherished mother of T.J. (Casey) Wilson and Shannon (Roman) Jones. Beloved grandmother of Kevin, Shawna, Tyler, Jaylynn, Teagan, Zachary, Bentlee and her future granddaughter. Devoted great-grandmother of Lucas and Lylah. Loving sister of Irene (John) McIllroy, the late Richard, the late Rochelle and the late George. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. She will be missed by Murphy, her faithful furry companion. Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation on Saturday February 24, 2024 from 8:30 - 10:30 AM at T.J. She was the heart and soul of her family, a beloved wife to her devoted husband, Richard W. Virgile, for 42 wonderful years. Together, they built a life filled with laughter, love, and cherished memories.A loving mother, Mary's legacy is carried on through her children, Danielle Bagwell (Joel), Matthew Virgile (Ben Clarke), and Michael Virgile (Daniella). Her role as a grandmother was one she embraced with every ounce of her being, showering Evelyn Bagwell, Juliette Bagwell, Oliver Virgile, and Michaela Virgile with the same boundless love and care she gave to all who were lucky enough to cross her path.Mary's siblings, Raymond O'Brien (Patty), Christine Mellis (Nick), and David O'Brien (Peggy), held a special place in her heart. He served as the Director of Music at St. Agnes Church in West Chester, PA for over 27 years. Recently he has retired from the position of organist at both Holy Spirit and St. Richards Churches. John enjoyed going to the theater in New York to watch productions or listening to Opera and the Orchestra play. Loving companion of Joseph F. Marino for over 30 years. Brother to Mark (Jim Pereira) Raab and Yvonne (Anthony) Relvas. He is also survived by his niece, Mary Schwall; nephew Anthony Relvas Jr and by great nieces and nephew, Cousin Adrienne (David Pickle) Stalek . Craig Steven Paslay Sr., of Philadelphia, passed away on February 17th 2024 at the age of 51. He was the loving husband of Patricia A. Severs for 30 years, and a caring father to Amanda Thompson (Michael Marshall), Craig S. Paslay Jr., Anthony C. Paslay, Ashley Paslay (Madeline Richards), and proud grandfather to Michael Marshall Jr., Riley Marshall. Craig was born in Philadelphia to the late Charles and Mildred Paslay. He spent his childhood in Southwest Philadelphia and attended West Catholic, class of 1990. Craig was the youngest of ten, and will be missed dearly by his siblings; Carol (Joel), Charles (Cheryl), Cecilia McLaughlin (Uie), Boyd (June), the late Mark (Sue), Celeste, Michael, Patrick, and Daniel. Craig will be remembered for his love of family, sci-fi, reading, whistling, and Dr. Pepper. Craig was happiest when spending time with family, and on the job fighting fires. He was a proud member of Philadelphia Fire Department since June of 2003. His commitment and dedication to the Philadelphia Fire Department, love for his wife and children, and the lives that he has touched throughout the years will forever be our memory of Craig.
