Ernest A. Sara Jr, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on October 1, 2023, aged 58 years. He is survived by his brother, Keith D. Sara and his wife, Lori-Jean Sara. He is predeceased by his parents, Ernest A. Sara Sr and Martha Sara. Ernest was a quiet man with a quick sense of humor. He loved the shore, especially walking the boardwalk. He enjoyed heavy metal music and attending live concerts. Ernie was known to be a steadfast and good friend displaying thoughtful and selfless qualities, those of which will always be remembered. Family and loved ones are invited to attend a Memorial Visitation on Saturday October 14, 2023, 12:00-2:00pm at Rezem Funeral Home, 457 Cranbury Rd, East Brunswick, NJ 08816. John Salvatore Agugliaro, 76, peacefully passed away on November 30, 2023. He was predeceased by his wife, Carmella Agugliaro of 18 years. He is survived by his 5 children: Anthony (Diane) Agugliaro, Michael (Jennifer) Agugliaro, Laurie (Joseph) Kendzulak, Nikki (Robert) Adams, Nina (Jason) Caianiello, 9 grandchildren, and 1 great grandson. He is also survived by his sister Jennie Drosos and predeceased by the other 7 of his siblings. Lastly, he is survived by his many wonderful nieces and nephews. John was a lifelong bricklayer, mason, and family man. He proudly worked for and served as the Business Agent for the B. A. C Local #2 Union for most of his life. John's generosity can be described as a 'benevolent Robinhood': freely giving what was his to anyone in need. He was helpful, caring, and supportive of his family and loved ones. John was the biggest jokester and loved sharing his humor with anyone and everyone around him. He was the "Mayor" of any room he walked into, especially the local Stop n' Shop and Diners. John was known to be blunt, often speaking with no filter, and lived his life fully with no regret. He was a master Rummy player and could seemingly beat anyone. His greatest joy was and always will be his family, kids and grandchildren. He instilled in his children the value of integrity, responsibility, resilience, empathy, and taught them to be nobody's fool. He will be missed by all who love him. Family and Friends are invited to attend a viewing on Tuesday, December 5, 2023, 4:00-8:00pm at Rezem Funeral Home and on Wednesday, December 6, 2023, 10:00-11:00am. Shiber, Elizabeth Joan, 90, Sun City AZ, formerly of East Brunswick NJ. Passed away September 24, 2023 in AZ. Born 10/20/1932 in Akron OH the daughter of the late Joseph and Rheba (Brown) Hampton. She moved to Sun City after the death of her husband Whitey in 2006. Joan worked 25 years in retail, most notably at SEARS where she managed the fabric & notions department and then moved on to manage the accounting department. She retired from XEROX after 18-plus years. She was an avid needle woman. She could knit, crochet, sew, smock, cross stitch and embroider, but her passion was quilting. She and her quilting friends traveled the country attending quilt shows large and small always learning new techniques. She collected fabric and gifted many people with quilts made from her collection. She was an active member of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod holding many leadership roles in the Lutheran Women's Missionary League at both local and state level while living in New Jersey. Joan was preceded in death by her husband Eugene Charles "Whitey" Shiber as well as two daughters, Linda (Neil) Cavalier and Cindy (Michael)) Biddle. She is survived by two daughters Darlene (Michael) Sneden and Lori (Denis) Scanlon; as well as six grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Also surviving is her beloved brother, Chester (Shirley) Hampton and a host of nephews and nieces and their families with whom she made great memories. Friends received from 10 AM until time of Service 11 AM Saturday, October 14, 2023 at the Jean H. Kinley Funeral Home, Portage. Interment will be in Dunmyer Cemetery, Salix, PA.Show more

Michael T. Burak of East Brunswick, NJ passed away peacefully at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital on November 5, 2023 after a long fought battle with illness over four months. He was 72 years old. Born in Newark, NJ, Mike grew up in Elizabeth and Roselle Park. He later moved to Carteret with his wife to raise his family. He was a veteran of the United States Army and retired from the Elizabeth Postal Service in 2008. Mike was a member of the Carteret Elks and a parishioner of St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church in Carteret, NJ. He enjoyed going to the track to bet the horses, gambling at any casino, crabbing down the shore in the summer, being Lithuanian, coaching softball, Star Wars, Jaws, The Godfather, but most of all, spending time with the loves of his life - his four granddaughters. Predeceased by his parents John and Mary Burak, Mike is survived by his wife Marie; daughters and sons-in-law Melissa and Christopher Young and Megan and Robert Magalski; granddaughters Caitlin and Maggie Young, Melanie and Meadow Magalski; sister and brother-in-law Mary Ann and Richard Soto; goddaughter Renee Soto and her husband David Krasne; aunt Maureen Kwadecius; mother-in-law Loretta Dacchille; and many beloved cousins and friends.
