Ernest F. Carnes, Jr. age 87, of Canton went home to be with the Lord on Thursday June 16, 2022. He was born May 12, 1935. He will above all be remembered for being a faithful and strong servant of the Lord Jesus Christ. Ernie's love for his family was so deep and impacted of their lives beyond measure. He was known for ministering and spreading the Word of God to anyone in his path. He loved talking, helping, spending time with and attending events for his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was always there for anyone in need. Ernie worked many jobs in his lifetime, his last working years spent as a truck driver with Dynasty Transportation before retiring. He was reunited with the love of his life, Patricia Carnes; and was also preceded in death by a great grandson, Miles Anthony Schoenfeld; his parents, Ernest F. , Sr. and Bessie Carnes; brothers, Terry Carnes, Pat Carnes and Jeff Carnes and a sister, Judy (Carnes) DePasquale. Survivors include a son, Mark Carnes; daughters, Michele Carnes and Lisa (Jerry) Schoenfeld; seven grandchildren, Dustin, Ericka, Kayla, Allison (Brandon), Christian (Rileigh), Nicholas and Danielle; eight great grandchildren, Joey, Sophia, Micah, Olivia, Ava, Grayson, Eva and Avery; two brothers, Gary Carnes and Michael (Cheryl) Carnes; three sisters, Beverly (Louie) Lewis, Sue (Ed) Wall, and Jenny (Billy) Smith; sisters-in-law, Kathleen (Dale) Dierdorf and Elaine (Eugene) Candea and many nieces and nephews.
